I like Dimma Clio's, not in that colour, and i'm not keen on Morettes, but that's a better effort than most i've seen. It's since had a respray in Liquid Yellow and looks a whole lot better. It was featured in Performance French Car a few months back.
Here's a close-up, there is a slight ghosting effect caused by reflections on the inside and outside surfaces of the glass, but isn't really noticeable when driving. There is a tinted sticker with the HUD that is supposed to reduce this but i never bothered applying it. BMWs with HUDs have...
I fitted one of these to my mk1, easy enough once you figure out which wires to tap into. For the speed signal, there is a 3 pin white connector attached to the speedo cable. I think it's the black central wire you need IIRC, for the revs, there is a multi pin connector at the back of the dials...
The top of the door is angled toward the camera so it's not obvious. It would have been clearer if it wasn't cut off at the top of the pic. Here is the source pic i used.
Was a bit bored and wanted to test a new graphics tablet out, so i came up with this. Red car is my own, Yellow Dimma would be my ideal. I know Lambo doors are completely stupid and impractical, not to mention horrendously expensive, but they are eyecatching. :)
HUD is called a Defi VSD Basis (Virtual Super Display). Bought off an Ebay shop in the US for about £80 last year. Gives speed and revs as a digital readout and a row of 7 blue LEDs (can be set the other way round, if desired) 3 different brightness settings, works in bright sunlight) Easy...
Thanks, planning to add a few interior bits and pieces. LEDs to illuminate the interior door handles and EL tape to give a soft glow in the footwells. Pic of the sunvisor, looks great with everything on at night.
What i'd do: lower it, lose the light masks, colour-code mirrors, blacken the mesh and add valver wings and bonnet. Front bumper isn't my cup of tea, but doesn't look too bad. Overall finish looks good. Could do with a subtle rear spoiler too.
Copy/Paste wheel onto the car, then fill in the white areas using the clone tool with areas of the ground. Copied the new rear wheel onto the front whilst using distort tool to squash it. The simple method is to supply better source pics. Ideally, perfect side-on shot of the car and rims (If...
Not normally a fan of the euro style, but they do look good. Did a quick photoshop of how they would look on my own car.

Dropped bit more.

Lowering isn't difficult, simply use the cut-out tool and make an outline like the yellow line. Be sure to go around the arches as neat as possible, then around the top part of the pic and back to the start...
Deffo get 16V front end, looks 100 times better. Here's mine before and after. "P" plate is long gone as it's an old pic.

Here's how yours would look with a modest 35mm drop...
Had this problem when i was fitting my sunvisor tv, The clip is similar to a wall plug, in that it expands when tightened up. As it has remained unchanged for such a long period of time, it doesnt spring back when the screw is undone. I eventually got mine out by levering it out with a big...
Bought the mp3 player from Maplins for £150, over a year ago. Long since sold out, but they crop up on ebay quite regularly. Theres one now for buy it now for £120. The HUD was about £85 delivered from the US, (Pandaracing). Theres also a passenger sunvisor tv fitted (not pictured) and i have...
Couple of nightime pics of my dash which has had a few extras added to it. Red LED counter at upper left is the parking sensor display built into the mirror, Green display, next to the clock is the controls for the Mstation hardisk mp3 player and the Green counter above the steering wheel is the...
Get a sunvisor one, built-in tv, more discreet and it doesnt get sunlight shining onto it during use. Pretty easy to install too.

Drove home from work fine, 10 mins later the car is completely dead. Can hear a clicking noise as i turn the key but nothing else. Have tried starting it with an engine starter, but still nothing. Thought it might be overheating, but its had 2hrs to cool down. What else could it be. Its 1 mk1...
I got a Medion handheld unit from Aldi for £230, a newer version than the one in Halfords and cheaper to boot. Works well enough, although ive yet to go on a long journey to really test it.
I need to get access to the speed signal wire and the engine speed sensor. Had a look behind the clocks today, i can see a 3 pin connector attached to the speedo cable (1 black, 2 yellow) and a 2 pin connector attached to the rev counter (1 grey, 1 orange). Can anyone tell me which wires i need...
Just a few pics i took earlier today at Ingliston.

I fitted a 7" widescreen sunvisor tv into my mk1, which i got off ebay. It doesnt attract unwelcome attention when its folded up with very good picture quality and tv reception. For the video source i have a Rapsody RSH 100, 250gb of Divx movies in a box under the seat, much better than any...
Was thinking of getting a Head Up Display fitted (Defi VSD Basis), anyone know if its possible or how to go about installing it. AFAIK there are only 4 wires to connect, +, - , speed sensor and revs. I have a 94 RT.
