Was behind you until you pulled off onto the A329(M) at M4 j10 - you had a cliosport.net sticker in the back window & a nurburgring badge on the tailgate.
(I was the guy in the blue Smart Roadster Brabus behind you).
Quick update guys - have retro fitted HID into the angel-eyes units. The set I has takes H1 bulbs, and they DO fit (in mine at least).
I went for 6000k units, so look nice and white and when switched on look like an OEM beam to me.
Only now I have fitted them do I realise how rubbish the...
Hi guys - the tweeters on my ph2 172 aren't working. The previous owner changed the head unit - the door speakers are working but the tweeters are silent (they are there - I checked to make sure!).
So I need to trace the wiring to see where they're disconnected. Do they go directly down to...
Hi, just picked up a ph2 172 last night. Previous owner binned the Xenons and fitted angel eyes lights instead.
I want to get the xenon back, so want to fit a HID kit. Do I have to put back on original Renault headlamps (which cost a fortune) or can I simply pick up a H7 hid kit off fleabay...
Hi guys -I'm back! Just picked up an 02-reg phase 2 172 tonight. It's been lowered 40mm, and it does crash slightly on the rough stuff, so I'm thinking of putting it back on standard springs but:
Rather than fitting stock 172 springs, I wondered if springs from a 172 CUP, 182 or 182 CUP would...
The changer is Alpine but is only compatible with the Renault headunit.
The door speakers & rear speakers are both 13cm, and are easily changed.
The dash tweaters need you to take the dashtop off, but probably aren't difficult to change.
If you get connects2 or autoleads adaptors, you...
Nice reg - seen parked up nr Earls Court W London this afternoon!
Can't believe I've spotted 2 Vees in a week, and only 2 in a year while I actually owned my vee!
Silver one - private plate - N reg.
Saw you yesterday (Tuesday) about 5.40pm by the roundabout at the end of the M4 junction 7 slip road.
Reminded me how much I'm misssing my Vee!
Yup, my regular run home from Maidenhead to Winchester. Sorry, didn't see you. When I leave work I quickly cocoon myself in my own little world, with one thought in mind - getting home!
You won't likely be seeing the Vee again on that run, as it's for sale on ebay, ending this Sunday!
Actually it is very good for keeping Pizza warm on its way back from Domino's. You can wedge anything up to an 18" monstor between the inner & outer engine covers, and it keeps the pizza nice & warm!
I bought one back from Reading once (about 40 mins drive) and it was still piping hot when I...
LOL, I had exactly the same issue, so I got a brass hook and screwed it into one of the blanking plates for where the rear grab handles are fitted in a conventional clio! My suit jacket thus hangs nicely in the space behind the drivers seat!
I've run mine for the last year as my company vehicle (well privately owned, but business mileage). Have done 20,000 miles in that time and it has proved comfortable, reliable, not overly loud on the motorway, and at 27mpg, reasonably economic to run.
I'm selling mine on ebay.... Genuine UK RHD spec & cheaper than a LHD one!

Mk1 & Mk2 Vee will whip the cup in the bends, but only when you've learnt how to handle it. It's a very difficult car to master, and a novice will always be quicker in a Cup than a Vee.
Gaz, yes changing the HU to a sony did make a lot of difference even without the speakers.
The 6 disk changer does indeed fit onto the original bracket, but only by 2 screws, not 4, as it's a bit narrower than the alpine one, however it's secure enough and does not jump even when going over...
I've got a Sony HU & Changer in my Vee.
The HU is a high powered model, costing just £23 from Ebay (2nd hand). Was top of the range model from 4 years ago, d-bass, dolby, EL display etc.
The CD changer is a CD-Text 6 CD changer, which cost £45 from Ebay (brand new).
I also have the...
Actually I'm a long way from you - Winchester!
Was working in Derbyshire, and I'd been looking at getting some new rubber off ebay from All4Tyres in Shirland, so figured as I was up that way, I'd pop in to save on postage, and they also fit for free!
Twas a bargain!
Yup - very common problem. Some of the V6 owners have complained to Renault about the frequency of the failures but they don't seem bothered!
When I had one go, I had them all changed, that way you should be good for 10k miles at least.
However the Trophy coils are the permanent fix - talk...
I have so many stories about dealers (renault & otherwise) that I would ALWAYS recommend taking your car to a specialist independent, who know what they're talking about.
Some Renault ones....
Martins of Basingstoke - Clio V6's don't have coil failures, they're bulletproof. We're the...
Yup - once one goes, the others tend to follow in quick succession. I had them all done, and touch wood, 10,000 miles with no coil failures... the back 3 are buggers to get to, so if one of them goes, it's well worth having the other 2 changed at the same time.
Alternatively SG Motorsport...
Excellent - you learn on that one Alex, then when you know how to do it (faster & cheaper hopefully) and not make mistakes, then let me know and you can do mine!
