Good to see the Clio hitting the track! Not surprised it's quicker than that mx5, it did really well down here too, and nobody knows how much of a weapon these cars are in NZ (except for the enthusiasts). How's the drive compared to your 172? I'm considering getting another Clio if at all possible.
Heya mate, good to see the progress on the old 182! I'll be watching intently, if you need any information feel free to send me a message. She handled beautifully at Ruapuna down here, I'm sure it'll be a right weapon with the way it's going. Good luck!
Will I need to take it to someone who specifically has CLIP or should your standard auto electric specialist be able to reprogram it? I'm not sure if anyone here in NZ will have Renault specific software (apart from Renault, but the only Renault dealer is on the other side of the country).
So I've had a small crash in my 182, driver's side airbag has deployed along with the pretensioner, I'm in the process of getting parts and I'm pretty much clued up on what I need to do. Though one thing I'm not so clear on, when I replace my airbag ECU, do I need to code that ECU to my car, or...
Thanks, I'll call around tomorrow. Also does anyone know if the side airbag and seatbelt pretensioners always go off together, and if not what is the best way to check if they've gone off? I don't think they have and the seatbelt feels normal but best to be safe
I've already read this thred: http://www.cliosport.net/threads/airbags-and-pretensioners-notes-faq-how-to-remove-airbags.109205/ but I feel it doesn't quite address my problem.
The rundown: I had a (relatively small) crash in my 182, spinning and hitting a curb side on, deploying the driver's...
Took my 182 for it's first track day this weekend at Ruapuna in New Zealand, the car performed immaculately and showed up a lot of more powerful cars, thought one thing I noticed was even after turning traction control off (triangle ESP light) I was still noticing some skipping in the power in...
So I've recently started hearing a knocking coming from my left rear shock, upon inspection it seems pretty obvious that the metal dust cover that goes around the shock has come loose and thus is shaking around and making a racket. Does anyone know if the dust cover will easily slide back into...
Hey guys, I'm taking my 182 to the track next month. When I bought the car the previous owner through in a couple of camber washers, a set of 0.5 degree and a set of 1 degree washers. Anyone have any experience setting up their car for track with camber? Any advice appreciated!
After an attempt at bedding in the pads and a bit of spirited driving last night, the pad noise has come down quite a lot. The volume is still the same (very loud) but after I first installed them they would squeal at any speed and any level of braking, but now it's just at low speed light...
Hey guys, just today I swapped out my OEM front brake pads on my 182 and put in a brand new set of Carbone Lorraine RC5+ pads in the front. After installation I went out for a test drive and mother of god do they squeel. I was a bit surprised because the description of these pads say that they...
I have watched that MCM video, though it looked like it wasn't possible in the 182 as the seat bracket does not have bolts in the front? Or am I mistaken? I also didn't want to have to drill/rivet into the car
Hey guys, I need to mount a fire extinguisher securely and within reach in my 182 for track days. Where is the best place to mount an extinguisher without drilling into the car? It's a daily driven car with full interior. I was planning on using the passenger seat mounts but upon inspection it...
