Good price and yes mats are correct for the car, they tend to slip forward as they only have two little velcro bits to hold them in position so can look slightly not correct.
I've been dailying mine for a while now and is a comfortable place to be, only issues I've had so far is the door...
Seems these are now out of stock, hopefully everyone that wanted one managed to get one. Not sure how many they had in stock but they didn't last long.
Yes a friend had a 1.2 and we measured the door glass and the cup glass was thinner, can't remember by how much though.
Surprising as I can't imagine it adding much to the overall weight reduction.
I've just had an email this morning saying RPD have these grills back in stock. Not sure how long these will be in stock for and whether anymore will be produced after this..

Wasn't sure where...
My insurance renewal came through in December and they stated that they were unable to offer me insurance (DirectLine). I assume it could be due to the age of the car (R26 Megane) but they never mentioned why. I was pretty miffed as (I thought) it was cheap but actually forced me to shop around...
I think Ktec do wishbones, not sure on what quality is like but presumably would be better than eBay ones and would have the correct castor etc. Or could try and find a decent set of secondhand ones.
I have been enjoying seeing your progress, this is something which I want to do to mine when...
I think its a reflection of the current market, if you have the money most things could be a good buy at the moment and if the seller is desperate to sell then potential bargains could be had.
But yes I've also been looking at trophy prices, seem to be a lot for sale and prices seems to have...
I currently have a 172 cup and R26. From my perspective, they are quick once up and running and can cover ground very quickly. But in my opinion the 172 cup is more fun, the 172 cup is like an excitable puppy that just wants to go fast, the R26 is still quick and the differential is (for me at...
I have CTEK chargers (think it is the MXS5) on all my cars, I leave them on constantly, the idea is that the charger will maintain the battery and pulse the battery every so often (I am sure someone can explain better than my attempts) which keeps the battery health up.
In my opinion the best...

I managed to get 10 or 15% off, so ended up being just over £100 a light.
I just bought some new Hella headlights from Ebay, think they were a touch over £100 with a discount, (for a 172 cup). My thinking was I don't know how long Hella original items will be available for so thought I'd buy a set whilst I can and still keep the originals which I'll clean up and...
Morning all,
I drove my 172 Cup up to Mallory yesterday and when over the other side of the circuit looking at where I had parked I noticed another 172 parked next to me, unfortunately when I went to go it had already left, wondered if it was anyone from here. Always nice to see another 172/182.
Mine seemed to be more noticeable at cruising speeds of 65mph or so and with light throttle in 4th or 5th. Like a misfire that would then clear. I had the electrical light come on the dash and it would go into limp mode. Once turned off and then on again the limp mode would clear.
Check the...
OK, so just to go round full circle and to help people with similar issues, the hesitation returned late last year. I managed to book the car in to Mick at Diamond motors who was able to diagnose an issue with the throttle body (a careful journey back home where the car decided to go into limp...
Great write up, thanks for sharing, I will be following this. I'd love to have a Williams one day.
I love the back stories to owning/searching for these cars, also it is something that we can all relate to; the nervous excitement of collecting a new (to us) car.
I'm so sorry to hear this, hopefully there is not too much damage to the engine internally. The car looks great so don't give up, you could always find another standard engine to drop in the car whilst the original engine is being rebuilt, could still use it for the odd track day etc?
Hoping for...
Just to update this as hopefully this will help for when people use the search button.
I had a look at the plug leads and all seemed visually OK, however I ordered some new plug leads and spark plugs and changed this and the hesitation has now gone, so even though the old plugs leads looked OK...
Hello everyone,
I have looked through the previous threads but have been unable to find something which completely matches my symptoms..
Car has been running fine and being used everyday.
Noticed a few days ago that it was slightly hesitant on about very light throttle, any more it would be...
OK I am biased as I have one, but most of these cars are getting to an age where the paint is starting to deteriorate. Most important IMHO is belts being done and making sure rear arches and jacking points are not rusty. Everything else is fixable without too much cost (at the moment, although...
Racing blue 182 with buckets and (maybe) a cage on the way into Cirencester, I use my 172 cup daily and never see any 172/182’s so excited to see a fellow Renaultsport Clio on my commute!
I've just bought an R26 Megane and annoyingly the locking wheel nut key was missing.
I found www.lockingwheelnutkeys.co.uk online sent them a photo and 3 days later they sent a replacement locking wheel nut key out.
I was a bit dubious but to be fair it worked like a dream and saved me having...
Nice one, they are great cars for Sprints and Hillclimbing, I have always fancied having a go at Curborough. I'm a member of the Bristol Motor Club and they do a couple of good sprints at Castle Combe if you ever fancied it. I'll be interested in what seat you go for as that's the only thing...
