Cheers for that, I’ll have a look at the wiring next weekend..checked the brake switch and that was fine, I adjusted it slightly. Never noticed the fog light come on while braking but worth checking anyway.

Hi guys what did this end up being in the end, I have the exact same symptoms and struggling to sort it.

I should have this style of sensor coming tomorrow from a breakers, glad to know it will work as it's different to the one I removed

Had a play with the relays and 30amp fuse under the bonnet and after cleaning the contacts it still didn't start, also looked at the wiring to the coil pack and again looked good but it didn't start, strange how when the new pack was put on it fired up first time..will keep my eyes on it but it...

Guys if anyone has something similar it ended up being the coil pack unit. All sorted now.
