Welcome, I use Bridges Renault in Cirencester (outside Swindon), great service & good value (24k service was £220 all in). Not sure about pads, but as said elsewhere, buy them from a specialist & get someone to fit them for you. good luck

welcome to the club! I had the same problem with my alarm, got renault to de sensitise the alarm, that did the trick. With regard the exhaust i got a k-tec stainless back box & a BMC CDA induction kit. Best noise on any car ever!!!! enjoy the car & get used to the attention

I had similar trouble with the alarm on the my Mk1 V6 (are they the same alarm?). I ended up taking it to the dealer & asking them the de sensitize it. Cost me 1 hours labour, but at least i could sleep & the neighbours didnt hate me anymore :oops:

Not smelt anything funny (yet) & as Andy says, loads of different noises, so difficult to detect just one whistle. Get a BMC induction kit & decent exhaust. then the only sound you will hear is that glorious V6

Ive got a Piper cross induction filter, on a Hill power induction pipe with the under bumper scoop kit (cold air pipe direct onto filter), sounds ace & definately pulls harder. a bit mix & match, but does the job!

Ive had a drag race with an R34 GTS & even though he got me in 1st gear (think they got long 1st ratio) i creamed him in 2nd & 3rd. If i had enough road, he wouldnt see me for dust. (i was in the V6)

Bad news fella. Our cup has got 18k on the clock & nothing has gone wrong in 17months of motoring (including 4 trackdays), i guess it was just a bad one. Hope you get it sorted though.

Aye, Ive got an x plate, mag featured car & its been fantastic from the day i got it. If the car is is in good condition and most of the v6 pitfalls have been sorted, your bruv will have had a very good buy.

Toyos. I got T1-Ss on the Cup, & the car gripped better (on road & track) & the tyres lasted longer.
