Yep, that's my old car.
I sold it to my cousin, he sold it to his brother (my other cousin). Then he sold it for scrap a month back maybe.
He got a decent amount cos of those seats.
You can tel they were a factory option as you only got basic door cards with that interior and not the half...
Recaros FTW. They are defo lower than the standard seats. I had a standard 182 a couple of cars ago. Also they are one of the few seats that don't give me back ache, but I know some other people don't get on with them.
Price of getting them retro fitted is wounding considering they were only...
54 plate black 182 followed me from Mill On The Soar to Hinckley today at about midday. We had a decent blast on the Earl Shilton bypass and then onto the Hinckley prim road.
Good to see someone else who is happy to use their Clio, everyone I see to around normally people i see drive it like...
Just replaced Goodyears (on my 182 when I bought it) with Mich Pilot Exalto 2's.
Awesome.
Transformed the car. I get so much more grip it's unbelievable!
Very nice indeed!
I'd guess at £1,700, give or take 50p.
I like the phase 2 rear lights but there is something about the standard lights that looks right, the whole car just looks right. I'd leave it alone for a while..
£500 would be cheap for a non-cup but apparently the job is a doddle on a 172 cup due to there not being any aircon gubbings in the way. I think and this is a big think, but I think you can get it done for half that from an independant.
For the same weight effect you could leave your standard driver's seat in but take out your passenger and rear bench. Then it should about match up when you replace the one drivers seat with 2 buckets...
Me and a fellow RS Clio owner were discussing our ultimate clio and we came up with the following and we wondered if anyone could photoshop one up.
I want a v6 clio in racing blue with white wheels and vents... any wizards on here?
168 cup beans
148 FF Beans
I thought FF meant that the car hadn't had the weight saving to make it a cup. So you could have a FF with cup packs. (That's in response to an earlier post in this thread BTW).
* is a wildcard. It means you can insert either 7 or an 8 as appropriate. And means that the person is probably trying to refer to all 172's and 182's without writing the whole thing.
I wouldn't even look at a non-cupped one when buying.
I think they have to be harder to sell. If there are 2 cars for the same money but one is cupped, you're gonna have that one. I'd even have 20% more miles on the clock and get the cupped version. The non-cup wheels and spoiler look...
Since being fixed my car is noticeably more lively after 5,000 revs and seems to change noise etc.
I took my car to RS tuning for a remap. It made 149 bhp. Paul at RS tuning guessed it was the dephaser pulley. I bought the car home to the Midlands, booked it in at Nuneaton Renault Services...
I paid £5600 for mine 3 months ago with 32,000 miles fully cupped and Recaro seats.
One of the wheels was well curbed but other than that it was pretty mint.
Check that you can feel the variable valve timing kick in at 5,500 revs, if it doesn't then you might need a new dephaser pulley and...
Just weighed everything. Everything I took out including jack and isofix bar totals 44kg! That plus sod all fuel really makes a difference.
Out of interest the front passenger Recaro and rails weighed in at 24kg which is more than the rest of the stuff put together! That means that if you...
OMG! Stated this post last night and thought I'd revisit it and BLAM like a million posts!
Car is defo different! Water weighs 1kg per litre and I think fuel is slightly lighter but even so 40 litres of fuel is 40kg so should we be putting £5 in at a time. Out of interest my car is low on...
The rails on my passenger seat are bust so I had to take my passenger seat out today.... so I thought I'd take the back seats out too and see what difference it made to performance.
UN BELL EVE ABLE!
The car felt so much difference and just made me realise even more that I never want a...
Hello all,
My Recaros have always needed a bit of a whack to get the back down after they have been tipped forward to let someone in or out of th eback seats, but this morning I was trying to get the passenger seat back and when it finally went I realised that the seat is now loose on the...
