Manage your expectations. Your pug was turbo'd, so much easier to get more power out of. What you will get with the Clio is probably just a few more horsepower than the 185-190 it is putting out at the moment, and hopefully a smoother curve. You need 99ron 97 won't make any difference.

If you are warping discs then try standard pads with a grooved bell & rotor setup. Part of the problem with uprated pads but standard discs is that you increase the temperature potentially beyond the optimum for the discs. Personally I wouldn't bother with braided hoses or posh brake fluid...

My 197 has done 87k and still feels remarkably strong and well built. True, the interior hasn't worn quite as well as our 2005 75k Honda (CR-V) but for French clutter it has done much better than I had expected. IMO the EP3 is a bit dated, but £7k would nearly get you into a leggy FN2 wouldn't...

I was looking into this recently, 197 as standard only had front speakers, rears were an option and Cabasse was an option on top of that. You also may not have tweeters. Wiring should be there though, for 6 speakers (2 x tweeter, 2 x door, 2 x rear quarter).

Wheel specs are the same. Someone did suggest that the Speedies are actually a touch heavier than the 12 spokes, not sure about the 5 spokes.
