its a supressor for the ignition coil. should be bolted on to the back of the engine , looks like there is a bolt missing from the coil as well. any recent work done ?

try changing the after ignition relay , in the fuse box in engine bay near the battery , if its sticking (common problem on lots of cars ) or you may find water ingress. worth a try if your stuck approx £14 +vat from renault
check the wiring block in the engine bay fuse box , can be prone to water ingress , but if not would have to do wiwnr checks from the abs unit to panel , otherwise if you can get someone who can read live data when driving , if the injection ecu or uch is recieving the speed reading , you know...
once a key has been programmed to a car , it CANNOT be programmed to another car.
if your has whats know as avirgin key , you can buy this off the shelf , if its a key ordered to chassis number , up to a 2 week wait for it to come from france.

coolant pump is the same as on the diesel F9Q engine and the 197 F4R830 engine , it looks like the F4R830 engine to me , but as icarus says with the different rally spec internals.
yes thats the tensioner bolt and it looks broken as well to me.
will need take the bracket off to remove the bolt thats left in there , replace with new bolt. has it been fitted recently ? someone may well have left it loose. luck it hasnt caused the belt to come off and go behin d the crank...
you need to pull the reciever unit out see what sticker is on it and check the part number. if its a yellow sticker , you will have to order a plip with a reciever , if it a white sticker , you should be able to order just a reciever unit
which is approx £ 36 +vat. just fit it should work ...

the company is reman i believe. a mate has had some dealings but wont use again , they didnt have what he wanted or the stuff they have sent him has been wrong or didnt work. always apologised and refunded and paid for postage etc , just have not been good for him. they may well sort you out...

pull out the reciever unit and see what part number is on it , some recievers are specific to key and some are fit any car. post up the number and i can tell you.
