    New Renault

Go for the 19 16v. I had 1 for 3 years and it was fantastic! Excellent steering, handling and brakes. 2 of my friends had modded Clio 1.8 16vs and they always teased me about the 19, until we raced!!!! Never got beaten! Driven lots of VW Golf GTIs (mk1s and mk 2s, 8v and 16v) and I prefered...

    Civic type ’R’ eater!

CTRs are hard enough to launch in the dry let alone the wet (had 1 for 1 1/2 years) but much less torque steer than in 182, so in the dry there wouldnt be alot in it. Much easier to launch rear or 4 wheel drive on the 1/4 mile!!!!

    Civic type ’R’ eater!

FTO slow? I used to own a manual FTO GPX MIVEC = 197 bhp, 0-60 in just over 7 seconds and they regularly run mid 14s on the 1/4! Problem is everyone underestimates them based on the tiptronic ones that flooded the import scene! I went from a CTR into one and performance was similar and...

    182 RON

Optimax is great. Used it all the time in my CTR and on the rare occasion that I put anything else in, the car felt nowhere near as responsive. In my current car (Celica GT4) I have to use super as its a Jap import and in Japan they use 100 RON, Optimax is the closest, closely followed by BP...

182 Cup or Civic type R

I owned a CTR on an 02 plate from new, and yes the engine/gearbox combo is fantastic but the rest of the car doesnt live up to them. Poor steering feel, edgy handling, terrible service from the dealership, exploding tyres, was supposed to be black but after a few months there were blue marks...

    New user, some questions!

They had an Arctic Blue in the showroom and it looked stunning. Ive seen a few pics on here of Racing Blue and like it but it might be a bit boy racer-ish, no offence to anyone!!! But getting on a bit at 27 ;)

Cool, as soon as dealer gets back to me about part-ex Ill sign on the dotted line! 19 16v was only car Ive kept for a while (3 1/2 years), with Celica and CTR at 1 1/2 years each. Although I did write-off the CTR!!! Dodgy handling!!! Corrado VR6 lasted 8 months b4 boredom set in!!!!

Hello everyone! Just got back from my local Renault dealer after a test drive in a 182 with cup packs and Im really keen to buy 1. Im currently driving a 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four with approx 280 bhp but my journey to work is short, lots of traffic except weekends and Im just not using the...
