Hmmm, you sure? I was sure it had a tuned 20vt from an S3. Interesting transplant for a Mk3 putting in a V5 and a turbo? Was the guy from Aberdeen by any chance?
Exhaust has just started blowing like a b**ch on the 172 - only a few days after getting the bastarding thing MOT'd. Sounds like it's coming from around the back box, but I can't see any obvious holes/cracks. Looks like it's a fairly common fault and it's recommended to fit an aftermarket...
I think the cam belt needs done at 5 yrs or 72k, whichever is sooner. I'd just get it done if it's almost 5 yrs old. Can be very, very expensive if it goes - I was over £1000 for repairs when it went on a BMW before the specified time......
At Raigmore interchange about 7.15pm. I was heading down from Milton of Leys trying to dry the car off before a polish. Didn't spot you until too late as I was blinded by the low sun......

Foreign plates are totally illegal. Lots of dubbers run German plates, but carry their GB ones with them incase they get pulled. You'll get a £30 fine and a rectification notice if your pulled. Might get in trouble for something like this though...

They are gorgeous! However I have been informed that "If you think buying bucket seats is the best use of our money while we're planning a wedding and buying a house, you just go ahead"!!
Do they make much difference to the driving position? I find I sit too high on the seats in the 172 despite putting them as low as they go. Feels sometimes like I'm sitting on it, rather than in it.....
Was thinking about sticking my Ronal Turbos from my Mk1 Golf onto the 172. Any pics of Monaco Blue 172s on Turbs, or any kind photoshop gurus feel helpful!!

Euro look is about less is more. Smoothed, flared arches, decked, small bling wheels with stretched tyres etc. www.cleaned.be have some ace euro cars. VW owners tend to do the Euro look very well so would be worth checking out some Dub Club sites for ideas....
