My 182 is currently at a REN dealer as the Sump gasket has gone. REN will pay for it (£530) if I can prove I have had the car serviced at REN for the past two years. IT hasn't but the cambelt and head gasket was done 5 months ago at a REN dealer! please could some one tell me what I should say...

Ren have quoted me 380 pounds to fix this! The gasket is 20 pounds and the time to fix this is 6 and a half hours Ren have said. I know you need to either drop the sub frame or lift the engine to drop the sump. This cost is far too much from Ren.....could any garage do this job?? please could...

Out of interest………………why is there only a kick ( cams lifting ) in 1st, 2nd and 3rd but not in 4th or 5th in a clio 182 cup. Just felt disappointed last night building up speed in 4th to 5000 rpm and then just no kick. Technical response required please. Thanks!

I fitted a Pug Performance air filter on my clio 182. The filter is meant to fit a 206 180 GTI. The filter works fine and sounds good, can anyone see any harm or disadvantages of doing this to my 182??. The filter was given to me by a mate who sold his 206. Cheers
