Just had my rear pads & discs changed and have noticed that the ABS seems to kick in much more easily then before.
The New discs came with the ABS rings attached.
Any suggestions? And should a light come on, on the dash, if ABS is activated?
Thanks Mat.

Is there any reason on a Mapped Clio 172 why the Ambient air sensor need to be unattached?
Car was failing MOT on emissions, and the mechanic said the Ambient air sensor was unplugged. Plugging it back in caused it to run very rich and fail the emissions test even worse.

Fitted some eibach pro's to my Ph1 172 a while back. The rear wheels seem to have quite some negative camber on them now. Was wondering how much was normal(anyone got a photo of theres so I can compare) and do I need to/how easy is it to sort it out?
Thanks Mat.
So, where do I need to drill? Are there any location that I can use the eye bolts or will it need to be three new holes?
Thanks Mat.
PS. If it makes a difference this is for a 3 point harness.
Hi, looking at getting a snap-in harness for the occasional track day as I find in fast right hand corners I have to hold myself into the seat using the steering wheel.
Just two quick questions:
1) Is it possible to fit the eye bolts to existing locations(i.e. No drilling required)?
2) And if...
No I cant get there from work which is a bit of a pain. There normally pretty trustworthy and they normally show me any extra work they have had to do so ill have a look when I get down there later this evening.
Did a quick search on the forum and there was one message that said it was...
Garage is currently fitting my Moquip hoses to my 172(ph1) and says the support brackets need to be filed out to fit the hoses through.
I spoke to Andy and he says he has not heard of this before, anyone else had this problem?
Thanks Mat.
Tried everythink, heating, whacking, screwing, humping! In the end drove it down the local garage and it was stuck in good and proper so it was attacked with a drill bit.
On too me next issue on the other side the rubber protecting the piston is not attached proper so the piston is not...
So those two torx builts, the ones through the disc, is there a trick to getting them off or will I need to find a freindly mechnic?
I had everything off but the disc and can not get the torx bolts undone?
Thanks Mat.
Looking for a quide to changing front brakes. I looked in the quide section and there is not one there or I missed it.
Also is there a quide to changing the brake lines?
Thanks Mat.
PS. Its a 172 Ph1
So I cant use the Yozza one if I want to take it on track? As it will have to hang down below the bumper even though it is supposed to be a stealth one?
Mat.
Going to change my exhaust to a stealth one but because I do a far few miles would like the quietest one, which is the quietest one?
I currently have Magnex Twin 3.5" Round which they no longer make, if it is quieter than that I will be happy.
Thanks mat.
Just looked at my insurance documents and it does say you require an MOT where required by law, so I take it this gives you the leeway to drive to an MOT station. Did you do it a sensible time of day, so you could have been taking it to get repaired?
Mat.
Are you sure that your insurance will be effected by not having a MOT? You are allowed by law to drive your car to and from test centers places of repair when your MOT has run out.

The rubber gator that sits just behind the wheel hub on the front wheels, what is it called? And I imagine that it should not be leaking thick greyish grease? Will it be ok to drive 8 miles to a garage tommorow?
Thanks Mat.
So once they are on the car, the bottom three coils, the ones closest together in the picture are actually all touching(at the front), so there is not gap between them. I was wonder if this was normal?

Fitted some Eibach Pro's to my PH1 172 and was just wondering how the bottom should sit. The bottom coils(the ones which are very close together) are touching, is this normal for the Pro's?
Cheers Mat.
Was no way I could get the spring perch back on without the compressors, needed to compress the springs about 2 inches! I wonder if I have the correct springs! ProKit Renault Clio B 16v + Diesel(10-75-001-02-22)?
