URGENT: Drive Boot? Leaking?

The rubber gator that sits just behind the wheel hub on the front wheels, what is it called? And I imagine that it should not be leaking thick greyish grease? Will it be ok to drive 8 miles to a garage tommorow?

It the constant velocity joint gaiter, no it shouldnt be leaking, clip has probably split, yes its fine to drive it the 8 miles to the garage!

Ye will be fine new reaplacment gaters are a pain to fit they can fit universal ones or fix them often.

Driveshaft gaitor. Shouldn't be leaking, more than likely your clip that holds it onto the CV has come off

8 Miles will be fine no problem

Theres a joint inside it that moves with the hub, keeps it lubricated so it doesn't go Bang bang bang up the street.
