It's that sweet odour that comes from kicking the s**t out of yout car tbh - any 172/182 thats driven properly should have a nice aroma from it!! Brake pads/clutch/partially burned fuel etc all play a big part in that aroma±!

What is the actual official requirments of the servicing anyway - isn't the 12k service simply an oil/filter change and air filter change. Even £150 is pretty dear for that!
I find that if I unlock my car and quickly open the door it gives me a quick blast of the siren - almost as though I've opened the door too quickly before the alarm has had the chance to dis-arm the cure from my local stealers is to enter slowly :p
be careful there are some real rogues out there when it comes to wheel alignment - alot of kwik fits etc have old / poorly serviced alignment equipment. For the sake of safety/tyre wear and driving enjoyment it's best done by a specialist with quality recently calibrated equipment...... just my...
