Just bought a Willy 2 with 77k on clock. Going thru paperwork last seems to have had a cambelt in 2000 but no mileage on invoice. Gather this is now well overdue? Some say 6yrs or 70k others say every 3yrs or 36k! Which is correct & anyone on here do the cambelt & tensioners & price please! Jaine

Cable finally snapped tonight leaving me freezing my wotsits off waiting for recovery. I knew clutch was going as pedal been a pig to push down for last fortnight or so. I been quoted about £450.00 by local mechanic. Anyone had thiers done at better price as I know Renault want over a grand...

Noticed Clio was leaking water last week & guess what! Yep - water pump gone. Damn it. Getting it done for £350 dont seem bad seeing as Renault quoted £750.00 ! Oh well, just have to take the Mini to Wales now this weekend. Gotta go now as standing on my street corner to try to get the money...

I apologise now but why is my header tank filling up with water when I run engine? If this is usual then I will crawl back in my ignorant hole I came out of but never seen this before? It is the small hose going in near the top of tank. Jaine

Just managed to get a Magnex system for my Willy 2 after loads of ringing around as they are not made any more. Comes tomorrow & will be fitted by the afternoon then off to cold windy wet Wales I go next week! Yipeeee Jaine
