Same here, although I use the Dr. Leather wipes to clean (as they’re easy and I’m lazy), but Gliptone GT11 to condition afterwards.

I picked up two bottles of these last week from ECP for just under £6. I must say I’m very impressed with it too. They’re now £8 a bottle!

Auto Finesse are doing their 1 litre bottles for the price of 500ml if anyone is interested. Bought a litre of Iron Out.

The Ultra Glaco arrived today. I’ve applied it to front and rear windscreens on both our cars for now. Cleaned the glass first with regular glass cleaner. The Glaco is super easy to apply. The felt applicator dispenses the right amount of liquid. It dries quickly and is a breeze to buff off with...
Ordered some Soft99 Ultra Glaco for the windscreens in our cars. Seems to get good reviews and looks easy enough to apply.

He recently did my steering wheel for my 320d. I’d used him in the past for my 182, so there wasn’t anyone else I’d ask to re-trim my steering wheel.

I had this issue with my last 182. The clutch and brake pedals still deactivated the cruise control as per normal. I changed the switch by your right knee. Still no solution. I even checked the resistance of the buttons on the steering wheel, which were all absolutely spot on.

Would you be able to PM me with his number also please? He did my 182 wheel a few years ago and although I’ve got a different car now, it could do with the Snappy treatment! I’ve PM’d him but I know he’s not on here much. Thanks.
BMW seem to be pushing their X Drive stuff a lot recently. And the new 1 series is FWD, as the 2 Series mini-suv has been for a while.

An odd comment really. RWD gives you better balanced handling and no torque steer, just for starters. You don’t need a super car to feel the difference. I’m on my first beemer and it’s only a 320d, but straight away the difference is noticeable on a normal, sensible drive.

Two Avon ZV7s fitted to the 182 today. Popped them on the rear so I guess I won’t get a good feel for how good they are until they get moved to the front. Seem good so far though.

So I came across this thread and decided to give the OP’s advice a go. I got an offside OEM cable from RenaultParts and a nearside Pagid one from Carparts4less.
Both are fitted now with no length issues. Top tips from CS, once again!
Changed both handbrake cables. What a little sod of a job that was!
Pagid one for the nearside, OEM for the offside.

Parked up on a hill this morning. Pulled up the handbrake. Felt something snap, then the handbrake lever went way up. Snapped the offside cable right by the caliper.

Glad to see you got it running properly again, and didn’t resort it to binning it, given all the work you’ve put in to get it nice.

Changed the VVT solenoid seal. Thought it was that, leaking oil over the top of the engine. Now thinking it’s probably the cam cover seal, as oil is leaking onto the exhaust manifold and smoking lightly.
