the airbag isn't the same on other ph1's, the horn is on the left stalk so you don't get the buttons on the wheel and consequently the bag doesn't have holes to fit over them.

there's a couple on here with ph2 rear boot lids, i thought about it but welded up the renault badge holes instead. it's quite common to transplant ph2 stuff, 172 rear bumper, clear repeaters, rear lights, spoiler, side strips. if you can get the paint done cheap or do it yourself, really...

maybe get urself a nice phase 2 bootlid? plus a cup spoiler and rear lights while ur there lol? tbh, depends how confident u r. if you can get one in the same colour, fittings easy. if not, yea, the price of a full paint job u may as well just get the dent removed and chip done. or if your...

cheaper to buy a new bootlid. dent out and chip painted will cost at least 100 squid and bootlids are around 50 on ebay. just keep your eyes peeled!

i've a ph1 172 rep, though i'll be spending a huge chunk of my student loan on swapping the engine in a month or so and respraying. friends in the game lol. i imagine yellow shows the dirt up badly, but it was wet, i couldn't tell. awesome car! :D

i did once. really badly a long time ago, and it peeled awfully!! now my mate works as a sprayer and laughed at my old attempts. the key is the preparation, the surface has to be clean, no contaminants, and rubbed down so the paint sticks better. a proper primer is a must. good luck!

lol, it's like a pan scrubber! it makes a surface slightly more abrasive so paint adheres better. halfords? or a car paint supplier?

bodging is the right advice here lol! my sport seats have loads of wires, probably from having side airbags my standard little clio doesn't. just cut all the connectors which didn't fit, soldered up the pretensioners, heat shrink wrap and electrical tape, all was fine! left the airbag cables...

i refurbed some wheels in white with a red/ green pearl dusted over, they looked mint clean in the sun, as soon as they got dirty they looked white. dirty white :( unless your really good at keeping them clean, i wouldn't bother.

here's mine, used and dirty lol. to be honest, the ripspeed mats with metal heelplate i got years ago were better quality and harder wearing, but these look better, and thats more important lol!!

i did my grill, scuttle panel and mirror surrounds matt black last summer. this year they need doin again so i'm gonna do em properly with gloss and lacquer so i can polish with the rest of the car. matt just doesn't last long enough.

do it mate, it'll be worth the pain. that photo looks sweet as and thats not even close to how good this will be. chop it up and build some new brackets, if the bonnet and panels go on all your talking is securing some headlights. get it done! :D

lol, i'm a fan of spoilers, it just needs more done to the rest so it doesn't lok so out of place!! slam it fella, coilovers, i'd get some chrome dishes, clear repeaters, some rs replica skirts, light tints and some de-badging. smooth out the side badges rather than ph2 style. it'll look...

i didn't get mine done for the 4 years i owned, the car was 7 years old then and done 68k, first time any belts had been done!! they looked bad tho, makes me wanna do them every year!!
