I had this kind of problem on my valver and I replaced the driveshaft and both cv boots and the problem was still there! In the end it was the engine heat shield that was rubbing on the manifold! No more noise! Andy

The problem wasn't any of the above but the engine heat shield had slipped and was rubbing on the power steering rack. Andy

Could it not be an engine mount that is knackered so therefore the engine is moving more and rubbing up against something causing a vibration sound?? Andy
