Turns out the sticker in the front of the log book is for a different car - completely different chassis number to the number on the V5. Obviously something I never checked when I bought the car.
Popped into the local renault garage has given me another code (from the chassis no on the V5)...
Using the number on the front page of the service book, tried it with the steering control & radio buttons but it wont have any of it. Could it have been reset in the past & if so can I reset it diy or is it a job for renualt or an audio place?
Most likely will be the metal clip on the CV boot. Old school but if the cv joint is ok (no knocking/rumbling) pack the gator up with grease & tie some strong wire around it.
Yep do a search they're all rough from cold to keep emissions down. Optimax does help mine, try it for a few weeks & sit for a minute before driving off. Undo the pipe from your airbox to throttle body & clean around the butterfly as they get caked in carbon. As said get the cat checked or...
If it's just the clips that have snapped & the boot doesn't have any holes or rips, top the grease up & tie up with some strong wire or cable ties as MrBillyUK said.
Rear, undo the 2 18mm bolts on the bottom of the shocks, jack up, replace springs, done
Front loosen 21mm top caps, jack up + remove wheels, undo 2 x 21mm bottom strut bolts, remove strut, undo 17mm top retaining nut NO NEED FOR SPRING COMPRESSORS!! wack on new spring job done”
