I tried this and failed on my fiesta! Worst modification I've ever tried to do in my life!! & I've done a lot!! I'd save to have the pro's do it! Though that doesn't mean it isn't possible of course!

When you say 'full' system, do you mean cat-back, or a 'full' system inc. downpipe?

you will be able to hire a compressor yeah! I wouldn't use spray cans to do large areas! and certainly not large metallic areas! I bought a decnet compressor and spray gun package for just over £200 as r-jay said, the more effort and care you put into your preparation the better the outcome...

on my fiesta I had: suspension wheels brakes body kit {front, rear sides and arches} spoiler bonnet removed rear interior filter lights: front, back and side repeaters mirrors + more but thats off top of my head! cost me £200 extra ALL declared! endsleigh insurance, I was 20 at the time...
