Liquid yellow engine cover + strutbrace

Finally get it done in ID paint - liquid yellow. I just put them on without screw cos I still have something to work on with the oil breather.

Love the colour on the 182, but that covers not my cup of tea. The area left unpainted where it says 2.0 16V also looks a bit odd.

Yes, I agree yellow is not the best color. But since black is like carbon one and red is too normal for Vtec or Alfa engine, I go for yellow. Anyway, those are free. Will get another cover from scrapyard and try one more.

Looks good, but don't like the red tops to struts, Could do with more yellow in other area's to pull it together

When I got my 172, the struct brace is alraedy in yellow + red. I just re-paint the yellow to liquid yellow.

Hummm....red strut tops look out of place...It's a nice idea tho...Hats off to you.

Just kidding. I may remove it when summer is arrive.

Also a serious question - how to clean the inlet manifold??? I tried those engine cleaner but not work at all. I did remove it and clean. It is very hard to clean and actually I think it has no difference after cleaned. Are they painted in silver on the surface or dirt are hard to remove in this case??

Mine cost FREE for painting cos my friend paint his Toyota AE100 Wagon in liquid yellow. He got a side skirt and have the paint shop paint mine plus his side skirt as well at the same time. We know the guy from the paint shop well, he charge my friend but free of charge to me. But I did the masking myself, so that you can see some area are in silver.
