Well, we finally sold it, but to a guy from Holland! 'Bert' took us 2hrs down the M62 to Hull ferryport then travelled another 2hrs to somewhere near the Belgian border. Good old Landy's! Even a 24 year old one will still soldier on quite happily.
I hate filling up the Capri sometimes. You tend to find that early evening on a Saturday or late morning on a Sunday is the worst time for it. It's odd, but the initial novelty of being approached soon wears off. Apparently, every man and his dog has owned and/or crashed a capri, or at least...
I might just do that. I wasn't sure if i could sell it as a 127,0o0 mile car if the speedometer and the MoT read otherwise (the speedo was replaced before the MoT). A clever edit should sort that problem out.
I know this is o/t but finding someone who knows what thy're doing is not easy round my way. Can RsTuning accurately RR my Capri? It would be interesting to see how many of the 160 bhp have fallen away over the years.
It looks at home there!! They're ace trucks but it just isn't the right car for the new job :( Bloody thing. Part of me wants to sell the capper to fund a 300tdi conversion, the other part is telling me to be sensible. I hate being sensible.
If you ever get bored of the speed of your Clio's and fancy some proper, grin-inducing back-to-basics motoring.....
....you could always buy my Landy!

Go on.....
Indeed, I'd rather be in a 182 than the Capri in this weather, it's scary. 13x7 alloys, rwd and a high idle. I'm still not entirely sure why I didn't leave it at home and take the Land Rover.
Interestingly the 205/45/16's on the Megane got me happily up a snow-covered hill. Five minutes later...
I want to know how some of you guys can afford to buy, run and mod some of these cars so young.
At 25 I drive a '98 Megane Coupe 1.6 8v on 175k, an '84 Land Rover 90 and an '83 Capri 2.8i. The Landy costs a fortune in oil and diesel and, since I only use Ultimate in the Capper that's getting...
I was just thinking exactly the same! The Capri Brooklands is an odd choice. It should be a standard 2.8i (which as everyone knows is the best of the bunch ;)) or one of the tweaked turbo models like the Tickford. Actually, I'm led believe that the 2.0 Capper is the better choice for gearing...
My Megane coupé has no pollen filter and therefore loads of space under the nearside scuttle cover, alongside the heater intake. Since the air intake is conveniently placed close by I've had the idea of digging out the k&n 57i and cutting a hole in the bulkhead, the idea being to take advantage...
Thankings :)
Everyone loves pics so here's the fleet:
My Megane:
The g/f's Landy:
and the Capri:
It's a lovely car, drives well but she needs a bit of money spending on her to make her a proper daily driver. The brakes need attention as does the power steering assembly...
Hi all, I'm Ash, been registered for a long while but, since I never got round to buying a Clio, never posted. I still haven't got round to buying one
I drive a Megane Coupé, an '83 Capri 2.8 injection and a '84 Land Rover 90. The Capri is in desperate need of some Revolution alloys so...
