My Megane coupé has no pollen filter and therefore loads of space under the nearside scuttle cover, alongside the heater intake. Since the air intake is conveniently placed close by I've had the idea of digging out the k&n 57i and cutting a hole in the bulkhead, the idea being to take advantage of the clean air and downforce.
I've just been told by a member on here that this is a popular mod on the Clio mk1. Does anyone have any pics and can you share your experiences?
For example is it safe, are the gains likely to be worthwhile or will I just end up strangling the system? I know they're different models but any info you can give would be greatly appreciated.
