Had a williams for 8 years and now have a 172. The 172 is a bit more refined and feels more grown up. The interior on the 172 is streets ahead of the Willy, far more modern and the seats are better too. However... The williams is such a great car to drive. The best drivers car i have ever owned...

Bought the car second hand with 42 on the clock and had it serviced b4 pick up. Nearly done 12k so it needs doing. Cam belt is scary though! Has a Williams b4 and the cam belt went on that. Had to throw the car away...:mad: Have to just bite the bullet...

No mate. Redding is just down the M4. Those guys good with 172's? I need a 54k service too.. I work for Krispy Kreme doughnuts and can bring doughnuts for the whole workshop if there is a discount in it... :S

Renault told me that cam belt is at 72k or 5 yrs?

Anyone got any idea how much will I be looking at for the 54k service on a mk2 172? Ball park figure will do.

Yeah Reanault r a rip off, in London at least. In Spain it was £20 an hour labour and that was expensive. anyone used Renault london West?

Got a 172 mk2 with 52k on the clock and have recently noticed a metal-on-metal sound at low speed (1st and 2nd). It sounds like a metal rub and is a whirring noise. Only seems to be when in gear, not when coasting. At higher speeds (or gears) its not there, or not noticable. Any ideas what it...
