my proxies lasted quite well. But i was not reassured by them in the wet.
In all the discussions/polls/tests ive seen, michelin exalto's hav come out tops.
Looking at Brembo max disks for my '95 RT 1.4 (solid disks) as the brakes need replacing

and they are £51 a pair
at GSF they are £37 a pair!
This sounds too good to be true, are they genuine...
I assume u know whats what with the front macpherson struts....
The proper tool u will need for the torsion bar is a slide hammer. however they are not easy to come by, i only seen them online.
I fabricated the tools for the torsion bar when i did mine. U basiclly need to just pull it out (v...
i heard somewhere from a servey that:
On Average,
If someone recieves good service somewhere, and is happy - they tell 4 people
If someone recieves bad service, and is unhappy - they tell 9 people.
Well, this is the 100th post! So more than 100 people (including ppl who just viewed) ! So BBPT...
yeah, the new guy is useless on the show - knows nothing with cars.
The only feature i remotely enjoy watching is Tiff's ones;
The evo 9 last week and the clio this week, it is interesting.
If only they had raced the williams vs the 197, that would be great.
The other 48mins are total w**k.
if u want, try and clean ur fogs off (inside and out) with acetone or some solvent.
Mine were all smashed when i bought them with green shite in them. I got some new ones from GSF but they cost the earth for what they are.
If u r interested, i think there r some on ebay, or the for sale section...
yeh, i hope lowering it is on your agenda.
Same is mine, i went -40mm on front -50 on back.
If those r 195/45/15s u can go all the way -50mm front+back
Tidy atm tho. ;)
nah, this babys screwed, 8-12 mm dent in the inside lip.
i just bought some BK racing wheels of ebay, v. similar to my current (damaged) set, so ill throw my proxies on them.
+ they came with 4 yokohamas with 4-5mm tread on! So no worries now.
Thanks for ur help fellas
shouldn't rub no. Maybe a little on full lock.
But depends on all sorts of stuff. Like wheel Offset, tyre profile height, tyre width.
To know for sure u shud ask someone who has done exactly what u want to do.
If noone can tell u for sure, go for it, its not an outrageous drop so i would think...
yeah, if u buying from a retailer, like wheelbase etc. just tell them what kind of car you have, they'll know.
But whatever size wheels you choose, the stud fitement should be PCD 4x100
Offset ET38-42 i believe.
Bore of 60.1mm, but a retailer will provide you with plastic rings to bridge the...
i wish it would.
But i chose a set that hav been discontinued recently, and it has to be in a 4x100 with et38 offset. I think its unlikely i'll find one.
Its wierd; Ive never seen another car with my wheels on before, which is quite cool when they arn't busted, but not at the moment.
looks...
it sounds improbable to me, but can alloy wheels be re shaped to a nice smooth circular rim.
I hit a pothole/meteor crator and its put a healthy dent in the inside rim of one of my wheels.
Its not like bending the rim back to shape, it is a compression dent. so i cant imagine how its done...
depends what tyres u'r sporting.
195/40/16's are expensive, but very low profile, overall diameter is less than 195/45/15's!
i don't know if it will foul them, never lowered a mk2.
60 mil is a lot. i can say with near certainty u will hav some serious internal arch rub on full lock.
promising, FK's on a 1.2, u don't see that everyday, it'd take a serious run up to make any use of them :) But u have to get a kit/coilovers if u want to go that low, so why not FK's i guess! ;)
also u won't find much approval on this forum for mk2 morettes and wing mirrors, not a CS favourite...
