I got the RROD, called up Microsoft and within 24hrs i had it boxed, a sticker on and dropped off to my local UPS depot. In 7 working days i had it back fixed and problem free. That was 6 months ago and not even close to a problem since :D

If your sold on keeping a 'Full Renault Service History' then you really have no chice but with the silly prices all car companies charge and smaller garage will be better. They rely on good customer satisfaction so will do a better job and cheaper aswell :D

I thought it was a minimum with O2 whatever contract you have...£199. Its a good phone but the screen scratches easily and if you have fat fingers you press too many buttons on the touch screen! A mate has got one that he got from America, i don't know the ins and outs but its a quality...

You can also get a 'Proof Of No Claims' document sent to you by your old insurance company. I had to do that with Elephant as they are gay and i would never go with them again. Too expensive and rubbish at dealing with a claim.

If you haven't got the cash to spend 1k on expensive Coilovers are cheaper but just as good kit is the WEITEC Coilovers. They are the sister company of KW and make cheaper versions. The GT Kit is the creme de la creme and at a monkey its a billy baragin :D

Maybe you should think about just using the uber low settings for shows, meets etc etc and normal height for everyday driving? Its a compromise :D

Maybe manifold in engine bay is vibrating and heating something surrounding it? Rubber belt catching something? oil burning? Why don't you go for a drive heat the car up then lift the bonnet keep it on high revs and find out where the smell is coming from. May just be in your imagination :)

Front wheel bearings are more likely to go as there's more load onthem due to the steering engine/gearbox etc etc. Rear wheel bearings should not go. I don't think i have ever changed a rear wheel bearing on any of my cars. You can only but ask, worse case scenario is they say no :)

I've always had Toyo's...both the T1-R's and the T1-S's. I find them great in the dry and fine it the wet. A soft compound and if used for regular track days can wear out quickly. Cheap at £29 for a 15" tyre too :D

I wouldn't really call the Clio a hairdresser's car especially not the 172. It is French though unfortunately and although they make great cars i don't like the french! haha Take a picture of your boss' car photoshop it so its pink then make copies and post pictures around the office :D

Braking on most all cars especially small hatches is 80% at the front and 20% at the rear. Not worth it in my opinion.
