Don't do it lads - I've been living in malaysia for the last 9 months. OK, fuel here is 25p a litre but you can't get a decent bacon butty in a muslim country for love nor money, plus I miss my beloved arctic blue 182!!
Dave
Round my way petrol is 27p a litre. Unfortunately when I moved to Kuala Lumpur I had to sell my beloved full fat 182 and driving has never been the same since!
*sob*

Can you post a copy of the graph so we can see? I'm betting either:
1) the scales are different e.g the power graph axis is ranged from 0-200bhp but the torque axis is from 0-150lb ft. Then the power and torque figures may be equal at 5252rpm but the lines will cross on the graph at a...
Yes, for my sins I do!
The reference scale for RON and MON is still based on heptane and iso-octane but it's been extrapolated past 100 since many blending components have a higher RON than iso-octane. And yes, the bench engine test for RON and MON is still the same as it was decades ago. You're...
If only it were that simple. It isn't. For instance normal hexane and isohexane have the same molecular weight and same number of carbon bonds, but normal hexane has crap RON and isohexane has great RON. But when burned they both give out a very similar amount of energy per kg. Generally more...
Well I'm afraid you are wrong. V-Power is a totally different blend. And ALL the Shell UK retail sites had V-Power ready for the national launch.

No it isn't. It's a new fuel. It's higher RON (99) than Optimax was and it has the Friction Modification Technology additives used in the Shell fuel for the Ferrari F1 cars.
Foolish Americans. When will they learn they don't know anything about building cars? When the revolution comes and we revoke their independence from Great Britain they will all be forced to drive German cars for a week so that they can understand how truly rubbish their Chevrolet Impala really is!
I wouldn't part with my xenons because they look so great around town, but agree with others that the beam pattern of normal lamps is much better. The xenons do a crap job of lighting road signs etc and I often find myself putting full beams on where I wouldn't have done in other cars.

I changed from a zetec s to my 182 a few months ago and love them both. If you're looking for something that's the same cup of tea but better, you won't go wrong with a 182. It's quicker, has better grip and more feedback through the steering but the ride is better (even the cup versions are...
Ted182, when you figure it out can you post some advice and maybe a few pictures? Would definitely be helpful to me and probably quite a few others!

So why do you think Renault recommend 98 RON for the clio sport? See the Elf sticker in the back window of every clio sport? Renault and TotalFinaElf have a long established partnership.... but Total don't have a 98 RON petrol. How thrilled renault's partner must be with that bit of team play...
Because Argos know nothing about guitars and tesco know nothing about fuel. So if I want a warped fretboard and crap intonation I'll buy a guitar from Argos, and if I want to buy a fuel from someone with no understanding of fuels science I'll fill up at a supermarket. And while I'm at it I'll...
