hi all, was out in slow mooving trafic today and my water bottle cracked i assume with pressure and steam was going everywhere.... was quite funny at the time becuse people all shot out the way thinking it was on fire but i could see it was water...

I went to change my altinator on my clio 1,2 prima 95, and when i was underneath saw that there was two wires coming from the alt, brown and black and the black was plugged in not the brown,... i swopped them over becuase i was sure its brown and it seems to be running now ive pushed it...

hi all, after buying a new battery and thinking it was that my carr didnt start again today ;( anyway i rang the scrappie and they said 30 for an altinator... kwik fit wont ouch it if i buy it from there but i wondered how easy they are to fit myself, its a 1.2 prima 1995, anyone ever done this...
ah sorted, went down to motorworld and the guy tested my battery out for me and it turned out to be running at hardly any amps or something so I got a new oen for 45 quid

i wudnt know where the altinator belt is mate, ill try looking though, also i cant really get the credit to halfords in its current state, i mite get my mate to give me a lift with the battery though and test that, i have heard if the battery is faulty this could make the headlights dim too but...
hi all, yesterday got my clio mk1 and its a smooth drive pretty pleased with it except when i tried to start it up it wouldnt start it wasnt even turning the starter motor,ok so i pushed it off and it was running fine although the headlights where dim, then i parked it up and again it wouldnt...

my AA cover ran out and when i rang them they said all they could do is point me to an ignition service which costs alot so thats a bit pointless,

Hi all, just rang renault up for a laugh to see how much this cable i need is (throttle position sensor, see below)
I rang evens halshaw Hull which is aparently there new parts dealer, they put me on hold for about 24mins playing some really head doing music... then the guy answered and said...
cant dpo scrap yards tbh, non of them have a mk1 16v 1.8 clio engine lieing around and I dont think a standard RT/RN mk1`s are the same....

Well im not tooo clued up on 16v engines, but I can see its virtually attatched to the throttle cable on the front of the engine, the cable you can pull on the engine which would then inturn rev the engine up more as if you where doing it on the throttle peddle in the car, :S
