Thanks for the advice, espically so late on. Once its up on the ramps tommorow Ill be having a good hoak around it. Have a small bucket under it now collecting the oil. Bit of a stupid question but what is the drive shaft boot?
My clio is falling apart on me, parts missing and others...
Now that you mention it, there is a whine when I accelerate and revs go to around 3,000 you here a loudish whine like its the fly wheel spinnin around.
There is quite a bit comming out, your talking a puddle bigger than a dinner plate. Im just waiting for the thing to seize and a £1000 bill...

Thats funny, Could have sworn I put a thread up about this earlier but its disappeared.
I know its a topic covered many times, but wont keep you long, I am just looking for the link to RS Components which contains the correct boot struts for the clio as ive got a V6 Spoiler now.

Thanks for the help, so that will defo display stuff (even just the new HU manufacture) on the existing clio display as well as let me use the existing steering controls. Been looking around ages for them

Ive just got an alpine headunit and trying to get the controls which allow the existing clio display to work along with the steering controls, if anyone can help. HiJacking threat sorry ;)

Right, decided to go for the shell 5W 40 oil, only have a few questions:
1. As the car is on 90k should I do an engine flush? I have some Forte stuff I bought a few months ago but never used.
2. Is the Sump Plug still 8mm in the dci clio's?
3. Where exactly is the sump located in the dci...

Do you by any change get a really rough sound that starts at about 3k in your clio by any chance. Mine is becoming really bad and its very tappety when little throttle is applied. Cheers
What do you expect for 65bhp, its designed for general commuting not raking around. I like my clio, has been reliable for 90k now with no probs, only startin to sound a little rough now.
I havent noticed any difference between the ride in a petrol clio or a dci either.

Ive recently purchased this for my clio:
The image shows an aftermarket headunit but my motors got a standard clio cd headunit which I have connected an IPod socket to using the CD Multidisk socket.
The screen isnt a satnav but a TV, will I be able to hook this up to the standard headunit...

I spent months waiting for one to pop along on ebay, there so hard to get hold of.
Ended up getting a 172 spoiler for a while to get rid of that plastic tat. Look awful, dont know why renault ever bothered putting them on the clio
