Fair enough, the gear looks genuine enough and assuming they are sourcing the stuff through legitimate channels not too sure what they could do, at the end of the day I presume they are trying to buy some custom and will increase the prices over time (assuming they don't get shut down and/or...
Just looking for DS's for my 200 at the mo but just to add to the brembshop comments. I ordered discs for the 200 at 5pm yesterday and they turned up at 11am this morning, great price and great service so not sure what else you need from a suplier. I don't believe they are 'pretending' to be...
Check out the dealers section on the official Renaultsport forum, seems like there are a few deals to be done out there in October. I'm happy with a deal done by Arnold Clark in Wigan but it's a cash sale, there are a few other dealers dotted around the country who seem to have stock or factory...
To be honest based on what you say about the speed you were doing on the roundabout it does more sound like there was a bit of diesel or something on the tarmac, even with cheap rear tyres or mis-matched grip you shouldn't be experiencing that level of rear end action without some heavy right...
I kid you not... bought a £49K Cayman S a few years back... couldn't even get free mats for that! Of course I couldn't stop smiling in the dealership so perhaps not the hardest sale they'd ever made...
Saw it in the flesh today and wow, LY on it looks great - especially in the sun today. Gonna make me seriously consider LY and I've always been against it on a ££ principle but it did look amazing.
I've got a rear caliper that seems to be sticking a bit via the handbrake mechanism, the rear wheel and disc is running a little hotter than the other side. I've just replaced the discs and pads and given the calipers a quick regrease etc and it helped a little but still not right.
Figured I'd...
I found a little too much feedback with a small momo that was on the car, not sure what size. Retrim sounds interesting, I still have the 172 Cup wheel as well.
Perhaps not what you wanna do but I got a leather wheel from an 07 Clio Campus Sport that was accident damaged, only cost me 20 quid and it is in pretty good condition, not an RS wheel but matches the car well and still retains the airbag
Bump, I'd be interested to know this too. Be good if they did, pick up one from an accident damaged car and pop onto the older model with a melted rim :)
I'd also be worred about the exhaust manifold or where ever you wrap running a lot hotter than intended, can lead to premature failure/cracks if you are unlucky.
I guess it is age and circumstance dependant but I insure my 172 Cup with Admiral multi-car along with the daily driver and for me it is far cheaper than two individual policies. DOC is fine but most policies only allow the other drivers (unless specifically named) to be 3rd party covered...
Didn't have any email from them yesterday so they've not asked that, I presume this clears up what the intended use of that lug is? Sounds like Cobra's intention is that it is indeed for harness mounting and not chassis mounting?
Yeah it's a funny old game insurance, one company is never the lowest for everyone. Sounds, unfortunately, like 518's your best bet, unless you can tweak the cover slightly and lower it (protected NCB, increasing excess?)
Admiral are good for me but I'm old... but to be honest you just need to shop around, try the comparison sites. Insurance is so varied based on you and your post code etc.
Yeah, the bolts are in effect welded to the seat frame on the standard seats so you need to undo 4 nuts under the car. The two at the sill edge are under a couple of rubber bungs and easy to get to but I needed to jack up my car and pop it on an axle stand to get a good view on the inner most...
Pics would be interesting, I wonder of the wheel mounting and airbag connectors are the same as the 172/182, I'd consider sourcing a new model wheel from a salvage yard for my 172 Cup if they were interchangeable.
About the same, she's replied and said she's waiting for her MD to return so they can double check, she was helpful pre me ordering the seats and frames so hopefully we should know more tomorrow maybe (she also mentioned you'd been asking, if you're Elliot?).
I'm 6ft but have a big backside (!) and I'm finding the lowered position with the Misano's much more hot-hatch now than the std 172 Cup seats and these are on top of the slide runners and a small spacer so you'll gain another 1" lower (maybe a bit more) without these plus side mounting the seat...
I believe the adaptor plates are only needed if you want to mount a side-mount seat onto the base-mount slide runners, should bolt straight to the subframe if you are happy for it to be fixed in one place.
I've dropped Cobra an email about the extra chassis mounting/lug, waiting to hear back.
Great, good to see those tapped holes in the sill. Still seems a little strange why they add that extra lug, I presume just that little bit extra security of a 5th mount point.
