The pack brian is talking about is not the same as is on your car. If you prise open the 4 clips to reveal the gubbins you will see on your unit that the circuits are covered in silicone gel and even when this is removed it is all fine circuitry with no means of repair.. The part from renault...

All fixed! I replaced part6 which is the resistor pack on a climate control model. Heat at last:D

Should also mention its a 2002 with climate control.

I thought it was part 6 as when i removed it i bridged the two end connectors on the 5 pin plug which goes into it and the fan came on full speed! It also has a large heatsink which made me think it was a resistor.
