Why does a 24 valve 3 litre sports tuned engune only manage 230 or 255bhp? (I have a simple Laguna V6 that produces 210bhp). It seems disproportionately little extra compared to a 2 litre engine that produces 172 or 182bhp. Any insights?

Makavelli. Thanks for the tip. Anyone tell me how quiet Charlie at Prospeed can get the exhaust - I saw some postings about him setting them quiet if requested... presumably not as quiet as the original but how much noisier? Is it noticable?

My back section has just separated from the middle section - in an matter of a few hours. Undoubtedly one of the weak points of the Clio Sport. Now looking at a replacement. What are you going to do about replacement? Stainless steel or standard? I am warned the SS ones have insurance implications.

Trying to make up my mind what to do about my 172 exhaust that's about to drop off (incredibly progressing from 'normal' to 'broken' in a few hours). I need from cat back. I don't want anything that's going to stick out at the back (or anywhere else!) or make more noise than the standard one...
