    Recommend me a printer please

I have the Epson D88 (before this I had the C86) which I've had for about two and a half years, it's a good printer and will do edge to edge A4 and takes 4 carts, which are usually about £25 for a set. I'd recommend an Epson but one thing to watch out for is this; do not leave your Epson for...

    Tax a 1*2 for £30!!

"yes i know you would have to tell the dvla but even so it would still be £30 wouldn't it" Errr No, it wouldn't. It won't work like that. Your car is taxed by it's emissions / fuel type right? so what happens when you fit a totally different engine? It's emissions change.. you following now...

    Tax a 1*2 for £30!!

You have to tell the dvla, the V5 tells you what fuel the car uses and the engine number etc, even for a colour change you should inform them. You aint insured even if you just inform your insurance as major work has to be done to a satisfactory standard, they will argue the work is / was...

    clio v6 vs turbo 2

There was a guy who had a mint condition red t2 near church stretton in shropshire a few years ago, he let me have a good look around it and started it up. He rekoned his was worth about £12k so that's about the same as a very nice mk1 v6, for the money I'd be hard pressed to choose which I'd...

Nicest car sound you've ever heard

nowt to you i suppose, some of the best engines in the world (ford x-flow, A-series, k-series, pinto...) are 4 cyl but even flt4's don't do it for me; sound like a lawnmower in a beetle or worse a misfiring fiesta with a cherry bomb exhaust on a subaru. That's not to say that the car...

Nicest car sound you've ever heard

Anything with more than 4 cylinders, big lazy yank v8's sound superb on tick over or full chat. To me the new GT500 is one of the nicest sounding cars around at the mo.

    please help please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he's probably right, have you had a new alarm / sterio fitted where the wiring might have been damaged or fried. The best thing you could do is take it to the stealers, it's about £70 for the diagnostic test I think. Did you try the dash test. Next time the speedo stop's working find...

    please help please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could be a few things technically. A fault with the ABS rings, though unlightly unless you are experiencing either warning lights or feedback through the brake pedal at low speed. A problem with the ABS sensors which takes the reading from the rings. A problem with the wiring, or something...

The old girls getting on a bit!

I've never owned a car that new! My 2001 clio I sold a couple of months back was the newest car I've ever owned. I know what you mean about that age though, some cars hit it and you might as-well order another cheque book from the bank.

I know im gonna get slatted lol

Could be worse, I've seen one made out of white waste piping for plumbing in bathrooms with the 90 and 45 degree plastic angle connections to make the shape of it fit the rear of the car.

SCARY! Window wipers stopped working during thunder storm on motorway!!!

This happened to me once and it really does get pretty scary, esp when you pass a lorry. I found that if I use wax on my windscreen any speed above 60mph seems to clear the rain without the need for wipers or rain x.

    white marks on black trim

APC is All Purpose Cleaner, even house hold stuff can be used as an APC. The strongest I've used is G101 made by auto smart. You dilute 1:10 with water, get that stuff in your eye and it feels like grit. edit: or see post above

Am I one of the youngest to own a clio sport that's not really mine at all?

I think when he posted this he was hoping half of clio sport would sit looking at the thread in wide eyed astonishment dying to shake his hand for driving around in his dad's car... under fronted insurance.... before he can grow a bum fluff mustache. Good job chap.

Post your clio with 15"s on

the mk2 just looks quality with 15's. Those grey 8 spokes really set that ph1 off nicely.

    nurburgring record broken again!!

    Selling cars at shows.

I advertised an old car I had that I took to a classic car show. Made nice little signs gave it the detail of it's life and a service and everything. BUT That day was made of fail!!!!! My car drummed up a bit of interest, most of the people who were most interested were about when I left...

    Shampoo + Wax + Jetseal 109

There is a dude on DW who uses it on his black civic and it always seems to give a deep shine. I've never used it myself but 109 is apparently pretty durable too. I think it's pretty well rated as a winter sealant.

    Mot big time rip off

Maybe things have tightend up these days, but I suppose it all depends on the garage and the tester, even though it should all be the same. There was an MOT place I used to specifically take my cortina mk3 to, year on year there was about 10 things most garages would fail the car on that i...

    ***Mini Turbo Project***

What a great little car. I love the clubman shaped front end, it's also slightly longer so as you'll know will make the conversion to turbo easier. Also nice to see your sticking to an A-series, they are great engines to work on.

    Mot big time rip off

I think if you have it it should work so you can chuck the spare in the garage before you take your car for an MOT and pass but will fail if you have a bald spare in the car. If you have lights they must be operational and the glass in one piece. My mate had a pug 205 gti as he rolled in to book...

    My New Keskins!!!

I saw that too, wasnt it some crap escort driven by a black guy? If it is the case they'll have to pull half the euro'd v-dubs of the road as most of them have wheels poking out of the arches. Apparently stretched tyres are illegal too. Saying that I think they look good, I wouldn't bother...

    Quinn direct are s**t

Tesco were good, you can go for tesco budget insurance but be aware! check your voluntary excess! when you select the budget option that goes right up. Quinn were actually really good for me a few years back when I had the scirocco. With it being an old car of low value (and garaged) I wasn't...

Why u shouldnt smoke in your car...

Thats a 100 times worse than a jag I valeted years ago, the owner smoked cigars and even though we did everything we could to get rid of the smell (getting rid of the nicotine stains was the easy bit) as soon as the sun shone on the car the smell came back. In the end it was sent to auction. So...

Anybody know if BT are experiencing broadband issues?

Just for the sake of anyone else experiencing these probs in the future and doing a search: It's back up to normal speed now after about 4 days, fingers crossed it stays this way. Anybody know if BT are experiencing broadband issues?

Mines been solid too for the last year. Look up my posts about BT in the past Daz, never had a bad word to say about them till now. I'll try ringing again, then i suppose a letter. If it aint sorted then I'll just get my dad on the case, he's a long term manager in BT, hence my loyalty to the...

Anybody know if BT are experiencing broadband issues?

Cheers man, unfortunatly I did this and ran it from the main port with everything else in the house unplugged, I even turned the radio off and anything else in the house which might cause interference I was that desperate to get some work done. yet I still get 130. Even running CS at an...
