Car companies will not always fit the best as standard. Why sell a car at one off that costs £20,000 and lasts 20 years when you can sell two at £15,000 that last 10 years each.
I've got a mk1 but I still hacksawed mine off from the outside. Impact should work though. Use some penetrating oil then wack the f**cker, make sure you don't dent the tailgate though. OR
Buy a haynes manual.

On some cars if you put the key in the ignition and go on coil then hold the button it reconfigures the key to the immobiliser and alarm and blah blah, did it on mums scenic and a mates rover, don't know about newer cars though
Some coolant starts a reddish colour anyway, goes brown quick, its from rust in the radiator and scum in all the pipes and stuff. Empty the tanks, flush the radiator and refill. Haynes gives you all you need.
FK or Gmax, not amazing quality, but good for looks and you'll still be astounded by the increase in performance. Some people don't understand the concept of a budget. . .
sounds to me like mounts on suspension, was lowering a mates e-scrot and forgot to put the rubber bearingey type bit on the top, was grinding and all sorts, take the front struts out, check condition.
Just ordered 2 x 12" neons off ebay for £9 delivered.
Amazing idea! I have a blanking switch next to front fogs (mk1), going to run power from battery to this area, replace with another fog switch, then run from here to footwells and neons.
Any comments / possible problems? (sorry to hijac)
frizzell? Lifesure? I'm with lifesure they seem alright, told them a few mods and they said they just wouldn't cover them. TBH I think the guy on the phone cba with filling in paperwork!
Dont go for traffic updates, the system is just those boxes on top of motorway signs, out of date by about 15 years, the garmin and navman have started using navteq software, which at the moment isn't as reliable but is soon going to be better than the tom tom software, watch out!
Took off all the torx screws on the roof console, no joy at all. Still seems to be held in by the torx screw where the roof winder is, can't get it out, any ideas?
I Have a mk1 ph2 1.4 clio champs-elysee (if that makes any difference).
I have a tilt and slide sunroof with a handle to wind it back, however when I purchased the car there was no handle as it had snapped off, along with a slight part of the bracket, so a mere new handle won't do. At the moment...
Mine is that beautiful colour, with black 16v bonnet, resanding soon for baby bum smoothness, keeping it black though. Also resited the renault badge to in front of the passenger seat and fillered the middle. Looks GANGSTA!
Look for your colour code on the chassis plate, if you can't find it ask renault. They will think they are going to sell you paint so should tell you code for free, then back to halfords, £10.49 a can.
I'm 17 and changed my own cambelt with the haynes manual. Got the belt at trade price for a fiver and the aux belts were £2. Took me 4.5 hours with two mates, geuss the megane engine must be real tight in eh.
