Well, didnt get a Supra, but I got something pre-turbo'd, a Nissan 200SX turbo S14. Got the money to get a Norris Designs 240(BHP) upgrade, and buy a seperate FMIC and ECU remap, should be good for 280bhp then!
Running standard 200bhp right now. Handfull in the wet!
It matters to Insurance company, on account of parts availability, and weatherproofing, undersealing etc. Hence why they ask if it's an Import or not.
What makes you say having a Supra TT on TPFT would be asking for trouble?
Hmmn, I would rather have a Japanese car than a French one for reliability.
As for the dated looks? I dont agree with that. Clio's somewhat look like toy car's.
You are indeed right about a Supra being much faster though, 340bhp stock trim, with a few mods (BPU kit) 460Bhp at a cost of £743...
Why, oh why is it cheaper for me to insure a UK spec (340Bhp) Supra 3.0 twin turbo, (£536) than it is to insure a bog standard baguette carrying 172? (£775)

I wonder how much the 14's weigh on my 2001 1.2 sport 16v. They're standard Renault ones, but I have only ever seen one other Clio on the roads with the same set.
I love K-Tec's lightweight 16" jobbies in gunmetal, and at 6.9Kg's each!
I bought a set of Peter Maiden Component -60mm springs and dampers. The car handles like it's on rails, but my car is completely standard other than that, and I dont think the tyres and wheels can cope with it. I would rather have a great handling car than one that was too powerfull.
When I...
Mine have rarely worked, no matter how many times I took my car back to renault. The passenger side one works fine, the drivers side one, when fixed will work for about 5 seconds then fizzle out.
I have the same problem since I bought the car in 2001. Renault, nor any other Garage can't fix it. It's the seatbelt pre-tensioner wires just under your seat. Even resetting it all doesnt fix it.
