My 2nd year at this and I had a brilliant day. Better than last year in my opinion, there was so many amazing cars on display. Highlight for me was meeting and chatting to Rauno Aaltonen up at the Rally Paddock.
Here's a few pics.
Just a few pics from this yesterday. Unfortunately every year the term 'Supercar' seems to be getting more loosely applied at this event but it was good to see a few rare cars out.
Thanks for...
Went to this on Saturday and it was quite good, the weather was an awful lot better than last year when I went on the Sunday.
Not quite the turn out of Veyrons that had been advertised, but seeing a EB110 there was brilliant. The Pur Sang also looked reasonably ok in the flesh, although i...
My first time at this event and i thought it was pretty good, the GT and GT3 races were both really enjoyable to watch and photograph.
Here's some of my pics, firstly a few nice cars parked around the place:
FIA GT3
FIA GT...
Went to Thruxton yesterday for the BTCC and support series practice and qualifying. Good weather but a bit windy which made it interesting for snapping pics, and that combined with being a bit out of practice meant i didn't take an awful lot of pics i was happy with.
Here's a few, not really a...
Yep another one of these threads. Thought i'd put up a few of my favourites from my first year of motorsport photography. Comments very welcome.
My first event was the BTCC race at Thruxton. (1/250 at F13, 75-300mm f4-5.6)
Not motorsport but the first Alfa 8C i saw at the Goodwood Breakfast...
Popped down to this today. Basically twice a year Peter Saywell, multimillionaire owner of RF Saywell aircraft spares company, hires Goodwood and brings out a few of his supercars from his vast collection, and a few fellow supercar owners bring their motors along as well. It's all done for...
Today was race day for the European Le Mans Series decider at Silverstone, brilliant weather and some great racing. Here's a selection of my pics.
Firstly a few supercars from around the circuit
and the racing...
Today was practice day for the Le Mans Series and all the support races at Silverstone. Great day out, although despite the weather starting out nice enough by mid-afternoon it was tipping it down, as you can see from the pics.
Here's quite a few pics, comments etc welcome.
THP Spider Cup...
Today. RB (i assume it's still called that(?)) 197 was in the public car park outside the circuit and the 182 was in one of the car parks inside the circuit.
First time at Brands today and first time seeing the DTM cars, and i thought they were pretty good. They sound brutal, just like F1 cars, and although it was only free practice and qualifying still brilliant to watch. Great to see 6 Brits in the field as well. Support series were also quite...
Today was the inaugural holding of this event, at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire, the organisers are trying to promote it as a Festival of Speed for the North, and the commentators did mention this a lot today, even saying they felt it would be preferable to the FoS because of a wider local...
Went to this today, weather was appalling in the morning but brightened up by the afternoon. Don't know anything about truck racing as it's not something i usually watch, i have to say though it's quite an impressive sight seeing someone control a massive slide in one of these things! Here's a...
Went to this yesterday for the qualifying for the races today and tomorrow. Absolutely awesome event, i'd say the best motor event i've been to this year so far. So much going on, you can wander anywhere you like pretty much, the pitlane, all the paddocks etc and there's some stunning classic...
