have them up front on 182 and agree they started off promising, with decent grip, but wear out quickly. now after half a year it's nervous as s**t in the wet with the recent weather. another thing is i noticed more tyre squeal with them.
agree on puma being better than you'd think if you haven't driven one... they're suprisingly fun. though still think they look a touch feminine.
unless you're standing there watching them, i can imagine a lot of mechanics drive the knackers off their customers' cars if given a chance.
because they're a gift so free! cheers. can anyone confirm for sure?
on a side note anyone has ktr's uprated rear brake kit? just that it costs less than the oem rear discs
nice one. anyhow the frame on mine (182) has detached itself from the centre console during some fiddling and the plastic parts on the frame to hold it down have snapped off and lost. the gaiter and clips are fine. how much is it for that frame with/without gaiter and what's the part numbers...
i get around the 31 mark consistently. i'm sorry but if you're getting more than about 36ish then i'd say you're not using it's potential at all (unless you track it occasionally). though you could argue you can't use it "as intended" on the road anyway without overtly breaking the law
sorry, haven't done the upgrade so can't comment on 197, but after a chat with john barker, it is his opinion that the 182 does the whole old school hot hatch thing much better and that the 197 is no faster. he advised against the upgrade.
having said that though, the interior is bigger and...
yes was just reading that. pretty sure that's the megane they arrived in. the focus was obviously quicker on straight but the meg must've really made up tim in the twisties to post such a close lap time. apparently it's quite similar to the 230 but obviously lacking the ultimate firepower and...
Pleasant chap, came to our restaurant in Peterborough last night. Didn't want to bother him as he was with his mrs and friends, but had a quick chat.
Told me to stick to the 182 and not bother upgrading to 197 (not intending to anyway) as it's not as fun and no quicker. Half jokingly, his...
louise, i have one of those dension gateway 300 in my 182 FF, but use it for usb only... can use ipod if i had one but sadly don't. for wot i'm using it for it works a treat. they do work for the new ipod nano, but not all functions are available for the newest generation ipods; see...
that's some good advice. would spend more effort if it wasn''t already not in good shape when i bought it a month ago. was cheap tho, so you get what you pays i guess.
just been out scrubbing away like a madman on my car... thought i did a good job 'til i saw yours. then again, i just used turtlewax stuff on it, nothing fancy. only wash it once in a blue moon too, which doesn't help
Hey there.
As the title suggest, have recently got a 182 with cup susp, hence standard anthracite wheels, and wondering any places in or around Burton who can refurbish the scuffs and chips on the alloys. I'm gonna get a quote from some mobile refurbishers but I suspect they're gonna be...
