There is a change taking place to the M4 by the addition of a Petrol Particulate Filter. To make room for the PPF they are switching from a carbon driveshaft to a steel one with a smaller diameter. As the M3 is nearer the end of its life cycle it appears they are not applying the change...

Ok, just coming up to 16 years since I bought it, the car had been tucked away for over a year and it was time to get on with some unfinished business. Mot then Finishing off the front end work. Failed for the washers and a split steering rack boot, only second fail ever I think, so a new pump...

I'll chip in with some pics of mine, 10 years ago now ! I really enjoyed owning it, on a VIC marker last I checked so sadly must have met a sticky end !

Mine has had frequent use for just over a year using material from the seats and still looks as good as the day it was fitted. Genuine Alcantara is a synthetic material and is hard wearing. The suede ones I see people unhappy with the wear on look very tired so I will say it lasts better.

Still really pleased with it one year on. Not a lot of miles, but regular use and still looks like the day it was fitted, feels nice, would recommend.

Look at the live data for the front o2 sensor, it should look like this, I suspect it does not. Check electrical continuity of all wires from o2 sensor to ecu connector.

Plenty to update. In the summer the lower inlet was off, checked the injectors on a diy rig, all firing ok. Found the engine mount had failed, hadn't noticed any ill effects ? but local dealer had one for me the next day, gave the cambelt cover / mount a clean. Fitted an in car camera...

Interesting, buying direct I bought using the phone app last time, no joy today, still shows 'currently unavailable'. Loaded website on the mac at 5 to 9 and ordered it ok.

A 6+ is bigger than a Samsung Note 3. My Mrs has had a note 3 for the best part of a year, I have road tested it a couple of times and I just couldn't handle it for pocket use, fine if you have a handbag !
