Hmm interesting read that. I am swaying to a ph2 172 as it would make a better day to day car for me and imo it looks better. But would I gain anything by getting a 182 over a ph2 172. Although the back of my mind is telling me to get a ph1 172 as a track car and a derv hack :)

Been speaking to the owner and am going to arrange to go for a veiwing this week hopefully what should I be looking out for (genral clio stuff as well please) Also what are the main benifits of the tb setup over standard in terms of how it drives and delivery etc

Cheers mate Only thing slightly concerning is that the 182 in question is advertised for what I feel is a cheap price. Could be a good buy but maybe hiding something. Full jenvy ITB conversion with omex ECU by gdi on an 04 black 182 FF 45,000 miles for £6200 seems cheap :S

How deep is the cup spoiler? A normal halfords 3 bike one fits fine on my gsi with its spoiler. Maybe have a word with the local halfords and see if they will let you try one

What are peoples opinions on them? My plan all along was the buy a 182 and enjoy it and then eventually convert it to ITB's in the future. However I have just seen a couple for sale on the net already done so this would have a big financial saving and is very tempting. Anything to look out...

Cheers for all the replys. I think I am going to go for a ff 182 as I want the newest possible really and despite not needed all the gadgets the benifits of not having them dont seem that great. I also assume resale will be easier with them etc. Just need to decide if to get a 182 ff or a CTR...

Ah didnt know the 172 cup didnt have abs. Thats put me off of that one a bit now. Did renault change much from the ph2 172 and the 182's? Thinking it will be 182 as there are a couple of nice ones in the for sale section on here that I have enquired about :) just a shame they are both up...

Looking at getting myself one of the above at the end of the year. Just wondering what people think of all of the different models. Cups a much better drive? Is it worth paying more for the 182 over the 172? I only do short journeys so dont think I will miss the extras on the non cups that...
