I have an issue with the traction control. I don't care about the traction control itself but the light being on is an mot failure. It also brings the ABS light on sometimes too.
Anyway anyone have a clue what to do with the following faults?
I've replaced the steering angle sensor and I...
As title really. When coming towards a corner and braking it didn't like going into 3rd.
I wasn't heel and towing so learning/practicing that might help but anyone got any suggestions?
The clutch feels good and its had new gearbox oil.
Cheers
This is what my ds2500 looked like after 100(ish) track miles and about 2000 easy road miles. Track miles were at Donnington at zero ambient temp. No more than 15mins at a time.
This is what pagid blue look like after 150 track miles and about 500 road miles. Track was Oulton, ambient...
I need some good pads. I killed some ferodo ds 2500 in 1 day with ambient temp close to zero.
I've been quoted £249 for a set of Carbotech 8s and I can get Pagid Blue for £184.
What would you choose?
Can get a front set for £45. Any reason I should avoid them and choose brembo hc instead?
Sorry I know its yet another brake thread but couldn't find anything about these discs using the search.
Just fitted one to my car after some numbty ripped off an original one on a ramp.
Its not quite as good as the original but it's £13 vs £160.
Very pleased indeed.
Never had a it done before but ive been quoted 90 plus vat which seems a lot to me. Id have thought around 50 would be about right.
Anyone know anyone in Leeds area??
Ive just topped a litre after 3000 miles inc about 120 hard track miles.
I've had a few RS Clios but not seen this rate of consumption before.
Im using Gulf competition oil if that makes any difference and the car is on 92500 miles
How bad is it? I won't be doing it long just sorting a puncture but just interested.
I assume it will be more prone to aqua planning but anything else?
Got an omp steering wheel and ive removed the standard seats so as you'd expect the airbag and serv lights are on.
Id read that having lights on is now an mot failure.
So ive simply broken the lights. Sounds a bit stupid I know but its just a cheap high mileage track car so im not bothered...
My ABS is not working and light is permanently on there is also click from the rear when im slowing which goes either when I stop or release the brake. Any ideas on how to fix it, I need to sort ASAP as its having an MOT on Saturday.
Thanks
Just wanted to report that I had new steering rack bushes fitted and its a huge improvement. Obviously it depends on how bad the old ones were. Cant report much about fitting as I botled it and paid someone. All in the best £100 yet on the car.
Basically after about 10 laps of Donington today the front left wheel was loose. I tightened the bolts up went out again, came in after 4/5 laps and again the bolts on the front left were loose this happened everytime i went out. I was not torquing with a torque wrench but I was using a big bar...
This is my 5th mk2 RS Clio. On all my others the temp sits just above half way. On the current car it's sits as below. It does move to the normal place but drops down again. I can use all the revs so I assume the oil is getting warm enough but just wondered what could be the problem?
My track toy is almost done, just needs tracking sorted. I've been told the standard setting may not be the best for a track car. Summat about being completely straight rather than toeing in.
My setup is 172 cup shocks, Eibach pros and camber bolts which I'm looking to have set at neg 1.5...
Fitted an omp steering wheel. The wheel went on fine but the horn button was broken after the first press the horn was constant. Whilst messing with it a wire caught the boss and blew the fuse for the horn. Well I hope it's just the fuse. Anyway went for a drive and the TC light is on.
Is...
Just fitted some Ph1 wheels and removed the spare.
Weighed them and roughly 2.5 kg less so with the 16.5kg spare that's over 25 kg.
Probs been covered 100s of times but defo a worth while change.
Got a rattle at 3500 on my 172. Found that one of the bolts is loose that joins the mani and cat. I tried to sort it but the nut was rounded from someone probably using mole grips.
Any advice on best way to sort it as it looks very difficult to grind it off.
Thanks
Hi.
I'm soon to be buying new suspension. Was pretty set on koni shocks with sportlines but as I get closer to the time I think should I try something different.
I want the konis because I don't want to spend 600 on coilovers to then spend another load corner weighting etc.
I have read...
I want to fit koni shocks with sportlines. I've read good things about this setup but just wondering will it go lower than standard shocks with sportlines?
No overly bothered. The main purpose is the setup but it's nice have the looks as a by product.
