Ok, next question:
I have established that my 182 has cup suspension and i want to replace both the back springs and shocks. I am keen to keep the car standard so I was planning on putting OE parts on. The OE shocks aren't too expensive (~£90 pair) but i was suprised at how expensive the OE...
Thanks for the offer Henry, but i think when i'm sure what the set up is, i will buy two new OE springs and shocks from k-tec for peace of mind. I'm a bit annoyed with the garage who fitted the wrong spring! I'll try and get them to fit the new parts for free.
Just to be clear, the 60 mm is...
Henry - thanks for the link.
I've measured between the centre of the two bolts and it seems spot onto 60 mm by my reckoning. What's the accuracy of this measurement - ie what's the gap for standard 182 setup? So unless i've got the wrong end of the stick, my 182 has got cup suspension...
Henry,
Many thanks for the offer, but fairly sure the original one was red and white. Were your red and blues ones from a standard or a cup?
Cheers,
Ben
Hi,
Yet again, I could do with some help please! My 182 has been making a cloncking sound from the offside rear and I have recently noticed it is riding a bit low. With a bit of help I removed both rear springs and shocks, heres what we found:
1) Right shock is shot so planning to replace...
No decat and it sounds fine. In fact, i was recently thinking that the engine seems to be running the best it ever has! Baring that in mind, i was a bit shocked to see the damn light!
The engine management light appeared on my 182 today. I checked the oil and that is fine. It was only serviced 5k ago (36k). I know that the only way to get it sorted is to get it plugged in to a diagnostic computer, but is this a common occurance and should i stop driving it? Due to make a...
Thanks for all of your suggestions.
As I'm keen to keep the Renault service history, i contacted a Renault maindealer to get a price and they quoted £246 for the service plus £313 for the aux belt change which is recomended, so a total of £559 for the 36K service! Is this right? Seems very...
My 182 is due its 36K service, and living in Reading and working in Newbury i thought i had the choice of either of the Bridges main dealers n those locations. However, it turns out they have both closed down!!! This leaves me a little stuck with getting my car service closed to where i live...
I have been quoted £330 to have the bumper stripped, the deeper scrapes filled and repsrayed - does this sound reasonable?
Any suggestions for good bodyshops in Reading or Newbury?
Hi
I have scraped the corner of my bumper and have been quoted by Renault just under £500 for a new one!
Does anyone know any cheaper alternatives? I was wondering if anyone is breaking a rear damaged silver 182?
Any suggestions or thoughts will be greatly recieved.
Cheers
Ben
