Genuinely not sure mate.. I’d like to see 2.5k+ but doubt it would bring it tbh..
Plenty more than just the engine and box to sell though. The suspension is pretty much new, the seats, harness’, cage etc would all sell but I agree there would be plenty left over..
I would mate.. but looking for a rough guide price to sell as a whole.
I have next to no time on my hands to strip it at the moment so if it was for the sake of a few hundred quid loss I’d sell it as a whole.
What’s it worth guys? I’d hate to have to break it to get decent money back :(
Inferno 2005 Clio 182 Cup track car
Spec as follows:
68k.
Fully stripped out.
Partially painted interior.
Bimarco Futura ‘RS’ bucket seats with 3 point TRS harnesses.
eBay roll cage fitted with thicker...
I made this before I put a cage in. Well actually I still use it just with the harness run over the bars in the cage for the best angle.
It's fish plated through the strut, and also mounted down to the original belt anchor points and all fully tig welded.
I tried this, albeit with the starter bolted up tight. But the main cable bridged the gap too much to allow me to slide the shield in from the end.
I could have possibly done it like that but there was a risk of nicking the cable with the heat shield clip and I didn't want that.
Yep I agree, I did mine without removing the manifold BUT.. I couldn't get the heat shield back on once it was all bolted back up.
I ended up holding the heat shield on differently instead.
I'm after a little bit of advice.
I have a 172 with a 182 manifold fitted. Ever since I got the car the exhaust has rattled and knocked like mad.
The car has a Ktec 182 look cat back and also a 182 cat with the rear doughnut cut off and the exhaust sleeved on.
Apart from the drivers side tip...
You'll soon pick Tig up if you can weld anyway, because you understand weld pools and the general ins and outs of how materials react with different thickness etc, it's just practise for a steady hand really. Best way to get started is to lean on the bench and just use your wrist/arm to bend and...
Guys, I'm after some short and sweet advice on Clio 200 Cup's. Many moons ago I had a 172 and loved it. I've since moved on to the ford scene and owned many focus ST's and RS's all modified. I've now got a new fiesta ST180 but I'm thinking of coming back to the French fold for my daily and track...
What about the universal ones from the likes of ebay.. theyre nice and stretchy and fit most sizes as you cut off the diameter you dont need. My mates just fitted one to his meg.
I can get hold of a machine polisher off of my mate but he's looked at it and says they rnt really bad enough to warrant this.. Im in two minds.. So what are we saying use.. megs scratch X?
Is there a compound called g220?
And.. I already have arms like Popeye ('s younger much more weedy...
Is it really that bad? Obviously your going to blunt the shine getting the swirls out of the lacquer but a good polish after soon brings it back up.
This sounds a bit too viscious to me, the swirls are not THAT bad really but they just annoy me. I thought t-cut was quite mild as apposed to the...
As above really guys.. my cars black.. and the swirlmarks do my nut in... Whats the best cutting compound to use by hand to remove the swirls?
Am i just best to use normal t-cut or is there something better?
Well, from whats you've just said above... I wouldn't try doing your head gasket.. It does involve a fair bit of stripping down, and the tool for the cambelt.
And if you're doing it because the cars boiled over then theres a chance that the heads warped and will need skimming... Which means...
I'm guessing his mates ST doesn't have the Revoknuckle set up, just the quaife. Makes a big difference from what I've heard.
Bigger turbo on the RS isn't it? ST spools up nice n quick but I'd like a little more umph like the RS had further up the gears. I'm never happy lol.
I'd love an RS...
