am i mad what is going on with my dipstick

have dipped and wiped multiple times now and both sides are telling different stories. surely this is not normal or am i mad?

i think the high reading is due to oil in the dip tube from multiple dips, clean dip stick, go make a coffee, then check it

Like others have said i'd put it on being oil dragged up the tube.

Drive it around, let it get warm and the oil well circulated park on the flat and leave it for a while... that should "reset" your dipstick tube for you. Failing that, I would use the measurement from the not so high dipstick reading, and check the digital oil level display as well...
