ask dealership they useually give this advice out or free and somtimes send a mechanic out to put the code in there and then free of charge

go ask at a renault garage they will or should be able to use the computer system to find out the part number and order it but dowbt they will be able to get them as its for a a mk1 but worth asking.

if its really annoying you go in to a renault garage and tell them whats happening and that it never used to do it and they will more than likely get one of the mechanics to change the setting for you for free

just tell a little fib and say it keeps stalling on you and see what they say.

have you had the battery diconnected at any time?

as said before jack the car up (supported by axel stands obviously!!) turn the wheels to full lock and rotate and see if you can see a hole in the boot check to see if the clips at each end of the boot arent broken or loose causing the grease to come out that way.

try using a puller

did you try pulling of in any other gears apart from 1st?

the 1.8 8v is a pritty gud reliable engine so i wuld say dependin on mileage then buy it as they are quick for wat they are!

if its still under warrnty mate i would do the easy thing and put it into the dealersip and let some1 else find the problem as it wont cost u anything uv got nowt to loose.

wat proile tyres u got on at the min? i am runnin a 60-70mm drop on the rear and 60m on the front and am runnin 195/45 16s and i got my spring from ebay and they were quite cheap.

iam running 16inch team dynamic pro race 2's unfortunatly i dnt have any pics of them on the car but its dark green and lowered 60mm all round

it could be the black seal that runs around the boot its self the best thing to do is dry everything off and soak it with a hose pipe and see if u can see were the water is gettin in

av got my mk1 lowered 60mm on 16s it luks cool and handles well! best of both worlds:D

there should be a "tap" on one of the bottom corners of the radiator just turn that and it will drain the coolant and replace it with new coolant which you could get from a renault garage. not sure how much coolant it will take to fill the system but if u get the coolant from a garage you could...
