By the way - I replaced the top mounts with solid ones and this has cured the problem. Nicely sharpens up the steering as well.

Hmmm. Well that makes me think maybe it is worth paying the extra for the KTEC ones if yours went again quite quickly. I'd certainly pay the extra £30 for the engine mount, its justifying spending the extra £80 on the upper gearbox which is getting me! (Other things need doing on the cars as well)

That sounds right Fred. A garage told me the fronts were getting worn, but I think they seem fairly new - they are over 23.5 mm and there isnt much of a lip at the edge. I think the fronts are ok then. The backs do seem v worn though, one is under 7mm so Id better replace the discs and pads...

Ah, OK thanks, Ill take a look. I thought I'd been clever (or lazy) by measuring them with a micrometer without having to take the wheels off!

SERV means your supposed to take it for a service I think - I guess it just comes up if it theres another fault ie. your seatbelt light. (Im assuming thats what that one means) Mine is doing the same but says SERV and has a picture of an airbag. It comes on intermittently - I will try fiddling...
