I did indeed! Feels better than the R26. My dad used to have a Trophy from new so it was only a matter of time before I invested in the best hot hatch ever created! I'm around Wombwell quite often so I'll remember to nip in.
Not sure on the photographers - I work on the We Are Barnsley section. Saw you again this morning I think? Had to nip into my dad's work as the Trophy's fuel cap was seized on! RB looks lovely.
Bit of a bump on this one, but it beats starting a new thread...
I have these three lights on at the minute, and my local garage reckons it's the ABS ring on the passenger's rear wheel. Does anyone know how much the part costs from Renault? He reckons it's north of £100, and it just seemed a...
Now, every Clio I've ever driven has had a very good ESP system, where it doesn't cut in when not needed and doesn't hinder progress in the slightest. I've had my Trophy for a few weeks now, and its system is really, really intrusive. What could it be? The dampers are requiring a refurb, but...
Hmm. Not keen on the exhaust! I drove an 888 Coupe a few months back on the 2012 Astra VXR launch and was quite impressed. Its ride was far too crashy though!
I'd definitely recommend one. If you're into that back to basics style and don't mind having to work for the reward, they really do take some beating. Mine was practically standard mechanically and it was brilliant fun!
Had the Trophy for a few weeks now, but haven't shown it off yet so I thought I may as well start a thread!
Some of you may recall that I had a 106 Rallye that was one of the best condition ones around, so getting rid of it was quite emotional! I'd grown really attached to its no-nonsense...
Wrong!
I'm guilty as it was me in the Trophy, didn't notice the 172 though? Noticed the Rallye so we had a little play! I used to have a Rallye before I got another Trophy so have seen Craig's S1 about a few times around Wakefield. It's such a little weapon that car.
I agree with this completely, especially the gearbox part. It's a shame really as I think they look great, particularly the Nurburgring Edition. I drove one back to back with the 2012 VXR and the difference is huge; the new one's such an improvement in every department.
I just couldn't...
I like these. Great colour choice as well! What's the situation with your private plate? I'm selling my Rallye and mine's still got its private plate on, but I've heard it's an absolute nightmare to swap back to the car's original with regards to time. Naturally, I thought you were the best...
Drive one. I guarantee you'll think the complete opposite to what you're thinking now! The dampers transformed it. Its ride is a bit firmer but a 182 is hardly known for its comfort anyway! The Trophy's just in a different league to drive; it's truly an all-time great. The Recaros are a huge...
White Turinis look brilliant on Racing Blue. I love the look of this: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3991837.htm
Looks perfect, but it's definitely down to the Turinis. Standard 182 alloys look awful when they're painted white!
Most annoying grammatical error!
I absolutely love the looks of both. As Chris said, they're much cruder than their European counterparts but I love everything that they stand for. It's just a shame they're not as affordable once they're shipped over here.
I'd have the Camaro purely for its...
