I did indeed! Feels better than the R26. My dad used to have a Trophy from new so it was only a matter of time before I invested in the best hot hatch ever created! I'm around Wombwell quite often so I'll remember to nip in.

Now, every Clio I've ever driven has had a very good ESP system, where it doesn't cut in when not needed and doesn't hinder progress in the slightest. I've had my Trophy for a few weeks now, and its system is really, really intrusive. What could it be? The dampers are requiring a refurb, but...

Hmm. Not keen on the exhaust! I drove an 888 Coupe a few months back on the 2012 Astra VXR launch and was quite impressed. Its ride was far too crashy though!

I'd definitely recommend one. If you're into that back to basics style and don't mind having to work for the reward, they really do take some beating. Mine was practically standard mechanically and it was brilliant fun!
