We're going back a few months now, but I've not managed to get around to sorting this yet.
Can anyone else comment on whether they've needed an ignition feed (some threads I've seen suggest not), and also, would it be possible for an idiots guide to wiring from the fusebox to the parrott (ie...
Thanks for this - I was guessing that might be the cause, although my multimeter packed up so I couldn't check.
Strangely most other guides/instructions seem to suggest it's a straightforward connect it up and go, unless those didn't have the tomtom.
Is it just the ignition feed that the...
Just realised that his clio has the TomTom sat nav screen, which must be linked to the radio (as the radio stations show up on the screen).
I'm guessing this might be part of the reason I'm having problems if everything else is working ok.
Yep, give me a couple of mins.
Just read somewhere else where it was suggested the mute cable shouldn't be connected to anything. Presumably that's not right, and it should be connected?
Hi
I've just tried installing the MKi9000 Bluetooth kit that was in my Clio 182 into my Brother's Clio 3.
The connections are all the same, and from what I can see there live feed etc works in the same way. It's all plugged in, however the Parrot unit doesn't seem to have any power, or at...
Hi
I'm looking for a replacement flexi hose (the one that runs from the intake to the air box).
Does anyone have a part number, or know where I could order one? (Or have a spare lying around).
Cheers
Thanks all
Leads and plugs were changed (the plugs were looking pretty bad), and it's driving perfectly again at the moment.
I'll pick up a couple of injectors to fit when I get a chance as it sounds like it might be a temporary fix, but it's back to normal at the moment.
Strange, drove fine this evening when I picked it up. He took the plugs out and they were pretty knackered.
Light hasn't come back on since, but sounds like I may need to buy an injector or two to be safe.
The code reader the RAC guy had showed a misfire in Cyl 1 (generic code reader though).
Not sure what the garage have done, but this guy is a bit old fashioned. The other mechanic is back tomorrow, and he's more up to speed with diagnostics I think!
Garage have changed the coilpack (their diagnosis) and nothing has happened.
I'm leaving it with them to have a proper look tomorrow, but what else could be causing an issue with Cyl 1 only?
I'm guessing a faulty injector could be another culprit.
I've read about MAP sensors amongst other...
Was driving to work this morning when I suddenly lost power, and the engine light started flashing.
I've managed to nurse it home, so it's safely parked back up outside.
Is it likely to be a blocked/damaged cat, or something more serious?
I've got a decat pipe in the garage, but the noise was...
Obviously my car is upset that I've decided to put it up for sale, so this morning my ABS light has re-appeared.
It came on briefly just before I was getting it MOT'd, but once it was cleared it has been fine since.
Before I find somewhere that can read the code, are there any common issues...
I've got a Scorpion exhaust (RS192 I think) with an original Cat on my car, but I'm having issues with it blowing at the cat/manifold join, and also the mounts are in a right mess.
A couple of the rubber mounts have perished, so have been repaired with cable ties by the looks of it, and I...
Thanks Mick.
As the other key is working fine he is not too concerned, but would obviously rather using the flip key than the spare one.
What would you recommend he does? Do you offer key repairs?
My brother has just bought a MK3 Clio, which has two keys. A flip key, and a more basic plastic one.
We were told the flip key needed a new battery, so he has bought a new battery for it, but it's not being recognised by the car.
Is there a programming/sync procedure that needs to be...
I'm running Nankang NS2Rs on 15" OZ F1s. What tyre pressure should I be going for?
I'm doing a trackday tomorrow too, so will probably knock it down a couple of psi for that.
Thanks
Managed to get front discs and pads switched over last night, along with new braided hoses (rear one were a bit messy!)
All I had to do this morning was borrow an Eezebleed and change & bleed the brake fluid.
Rears were fine, fronts not so much. Both bleed nipples were rusted and were already...
I've noticed that when the clutch pedal is engaged (even partially), there is a squeaking/squealing noise coming from the engine bay of my 182.
It sounds like it could be a belt or something, but as soon as I'm off the clutch pedal it goes away.
Any ideas what this could be? I've only really...
