    My new Miltek on 182

Don't want to be a killjoy but check the quality of the welding on the system as mine has failed in two places on the rear silencers and i am in contact to milltek via the guys at k-tec who fitted for me back in oct 08 with the aim of having a new section fitted under the lifetime...

    Fuel Light

@ 43 miles left on the range mine illuminates up, but i thought that on my basis that it's been rather optimistic and i have only 23 miles left...although the top gear guys proved differently in there tests on 3x diesels.

    Miltek Quality Again!

glad there quality is not only affecting renaults then! did he have any joy with them at a replacement? i went for miltek as opposed to yozza/k-tec's own system cause i used to have dealings with them from my vw/audi days and they always got good reviews by those guys

    Miltek Quality Again!

Was looking for an elusive rattle tonight when i spied this on my ns tailpipe to silencer weld! was not pleased to say the least having only had the system on the car since oct 08, i have already had the welds fail me on the other side of both rear silencers whilst on hols earlier this year...

    Goodwood breakfast run August 2nd.

ahh i see, it is deceptively fast especially coming from start/finish straight and into madgwick, i first experienced it back in the late 80's or early 90's by been given a ride round in a spaceframe hillman imp that was reving to nearly 10k on the lavant straight(pre kink and refurbished) ahh...

    Goodwood breakfast run August 2nd.

you walked the track! and you didn't get any marshalls chasing you?..it's quite a fast track and st mary's at the back is quite tricky with the hidden dip and then after that the double apex at lavant corner before the straight ,if you get chance to do a track day there or even compete i would...

What would cause a 1*2 to be down on power?

Have wound mine upto 120 and that was quick enough i think the issue is that they has relatively short gearing and well they are not the most slippery of shapes although there are worse cars out there, but as has been said it's not what they are built for

traction control. .. . .on or off?

I think mine must be broke then! when leaving juctions on damp/greasy roads you don't feel it hold back like the tcs did on my cooper, so i now have learnt to pull away a lot slower and then when underway accelerate harder(ish)

    Windscreen film ??????

More than likely the exothermic? windscreen that blocks the signal(there fitted to most renaults) they are designed to help reflect heat/uv rays! it's the same if you want to use a portable sat nav etc.. although they do have a small clear section at the bottom of the screen to site the antenna.
