I’ve moved recently from South Wales to Bath and it is time for me to give my 182 its 3rd cam and aux belt, plus dephaser.
Any recommendations for a garage in the Bath or Bristol area?
Thanks.
Miles and condition make no difference for recycling, do they? I've just had a private message telling me that one sold recently on eBay for £100 and would I take that lol.
I bought a NOS roof rack and fitted it a while ago. I have now lost the instructions and can’t recall the tool used to tighten or loosen them. Allen keys (tried 5mm to 2mm) don’t seem to fit.
Does anyone know what should be used? Thanks.
It’s looking like we are moving somewhere we will have on street parking only. It could go into professional storage but I only manage a couple of thousand miles a year in it as it is, can’t imagine I would use it at all if I have to drive to collect it. We will see though.
Since new in 2004 for my BG 182. Now on 69k and will probably have to go this summer when I lose my garage space.
Any originality enthusiast fancy an oe uncut one piece exhaust? Perhaps one for the Trophy collector.
Do you get the centres finished to match or buy new ones? Everyone I try only offers powder coating and either can’t do the centres or can’t match the colour of new centres.
Sorry to hijack a thread, but could anyone tell me the name and part number of the vertical metal bar that bolts to the lower wishbone (just left of centre of the red box in the OP’s photo)? The missing part of the wheel arch liner clips to it.
Couldn't agree more. My Sprayshack anthracite dash strips, gear and steering wheel insert still look perfect after however many years (10?). I'd love to have all the rubberised plastics to match but in a satin finish, I've stripped the rubber finish and used 2k semi-gloss lacquer but it's...
So I’ve established that the clutch cable hasn’t snapped and is connected both ends.
I can rotate the semi-circular black ratchet and it springs back when let go. I assume there should be some sort of teeth that connect to the ratchet to stop it springing back?
Thanks for the reply. The Pioneer door speakers and tweeters just plugged straight in to the standard wiring and the amp is using the standard iso plugs so I’m now confused as hell as to why the tweeters are working but the door speakers aren’t!
So I didn’t buy a sub in the end. I bought a Connects2 Bluetooth adaptor that simply plugs into the cd changer port on the stereo and works very well.
I also bought a Pioneer 4 channel amp which again simply plugs in. However, the 182 has six speakers and the 4 channels amplified are the rear...
The clutch pedal on my 04 182 had zero resistance the other day, just pushed freely to the floor. After tapping it with my foot a few times it just returned to normal.
It has now gone back to zero resistance. I’ve checked the linkage rod is in place. I can turn the ratchet plastic manually with...
Thanks. I saw that but didn't realise that it was both amp and sub! Sounds good and solves the connection from amp to sub.
Still confused on the cabling needed from head unit to amp and amp to speaker harness though...
I know that the best advice is to ditch the original head unit in my 2004 Clio 182. However, I would like to keep it looking original, so I'm going to stick with the Cabasse. I already have the Pioneer TS-Q131C door speakers and tweeters that I fitted years ago (and made very little difference)...
I’ve heard of Grange once or twice on here so assume they are fine for a belts change.
Before I call them on Monday, any idea what they charge for a full 182 belts inc aux, dephaser and water pump?
Hi all, who is currently recommended to do a dephaser/cambelt change in South Wales? I used APD in Swansea for the car's first belt but he doesn't seem to be there any more and now it is time for another. Is Grange Service Station in Cardiff still good for these?
Cheers.
Yes, the 1973 to 2001 regs look worse than the current ones, in that the letters must be either 64mm or 57mm wide, so larger than the current 50mm.
They are for vehicles constructed prior to 1/1/1973 (though I'm sure I read somewhere this was extended to tax free historic vehicles, but can't...
